Anomaly with Tu-16 ( JTW )
« on: November 04, 2023, 08:15:37 PM »

This Tupolev Tu-16 , 1953 ( as AI plane ) has lost the left side of its tailplane , when attacked by an ennemy fighter.
it still can fly , but a new part did appear which is attached to its vertical fin .

Try this fix...

If this was the only problem with this aircraft, it would be great!  :D  :D
Have you noticed that, touched or not, the parts of the plane (CF/Tail/Wing/...) don't change...

Clearly, this fix is not suitable...

Thanks Epervier !

I did not use your fix yet .
I just tried to reproduce the anomaly again, but I couldn't .

Here , I shoot on the tail of a Tu-16 using the MG of a jeep . I destroy the tail , but the anomaly does not appear .

Here , in flight , I damage the tail of a Tu-16 with my Hawker Fury , but the anomaly does not appear

I am confused.
Was the first anomaly an anomaly ?
Is there a glitch in the matrix ?

Yes, in a way.
When analysing the aircraft with MeshViewer, I noticed that the "damaged" meshes (D1/D2...) use the same "mat" files as the "undamaged" mesh (D0). As a result, there will be no impact marks on the aircraft...
