Hi Gerald

I did try and replicate your problem on the weekend without success.
I did learn that the Shadow entry in the config. file merely does the following;
0=Off
1=Very faint shadow
2=On

Working on something unrelated last night I came across the same problem as yourself.
It appears that your shadow issue is not setting related, but may be mods conflicting.

Did ur now what Lods in a mesh file are doing ?
Its possible for a object i can delete Lods ?

maybe a object has 4 lods 100,500.1000,2000  its possible i can delete the last 2 value (1000,2000) ?
because my Object disappears by Zooming in close 3D  view in FMB

The LOD (stand for Level Of Detail) value is normally associated with a simplified mesh in order not to overload your PC when objects are fare away so mesh will have max details when is close let's say 100 m and much less details when is a 1,000-2,000 m away. By taking out the lods 1000 and 2000 the computer will use the mesh associated with the last LOD available (in your example 500) providing details that in any case you are not able to see due to the distance.

Important note: The LOD values are NOT direct indicators of distance. If an LOD is set to, say, 100, this does not mean the transition for it occurs at 100m. Depending on the object size, texture size, screen resolution and zoom level, the transition distance can differ very considerably.

Thx Dear Wx Tech

The lods are responsible 4 the size distance and texture or i am wrong ?

this object disapear in close view maybe too many objects
because in a another map with only this object it does not disapear
this is my problem but not so important
I thought its a Lods Problem

thx a lot WxTech

Hi Gerald

I believe your problem is too many objects and running out of system resources.
It happens to me occasionally as well.
