Irrealistic overheating from the 109

The 109 can stay 10 minutes with full rpm without overheating.The P51d20 na never overheating in the game and the mustang can only stay 5 min with the engine full rpm.The me262 overheating very quickly and the 262 can stay without overhearting 10 minutes.The fw190d9 can stay 10 minutes without overheating but in the game overheating very quickly.

You are correct  :)     Depending on game/mod version.     There is though a random failure possible when overheat condition is reached.   eg. Just because Spitfire book says 10:00 power does not mean a real engine blows up at 10:01 or even 11:45.....everytime......but maybe sometimes it does!

This overheating rate of engines in plane types is a feature that requires ALOT of testing to adjust right.   It requires someone to be interested enough in each plane type to manually test each plane in conditions of temperature, climb, throttle/WEP etc

I love this game but i hate the fake overheating from the me 109 and fw190d9 and me 262.All this aircraft in the game overheating so quickly
 In the real life the me 262 can stay with 100rpm 10 minutes and the me 109 late version 10 min,fw190d9 10 minutes,and Spitffire and mustang,tempest only 5 min.Its to easy to fix that

Overheating involves several factors, such as engine power, ambient temperature, pressure, and speed. Now that you've mentioned the Me 262, it serves as a great example of the complexity surrounding this issue.

The 262 overheats remarkably quickly if you simply push the throttle to 100% on takeoff and leave it there. However, if you reduce the throttle to around 80% after takeoff and accelerate to approximately 500 km/h before returning to full throttle, you'll notice that the 262 can maintain full throttle indefinitely without overheating - provided you keep the speed above 500 km/h.

That said, I do acknowledge that heat distribution in IL-2 leaves much to be desired. However, the notion that "it's so easy to fix" is something I cannot support. Heat management is an exceedingly complex matter. If you think it’s a straightforward task, by all means, feel free to address it yourself!

Agree about Me 262 in the game. It can seem counter-intuitive in the beginning but after you learn all tricks, it's not an issue. Also, Me 262 is one of those a/c whose throttle is better not touching for most of the flight, after the initial climbing and until several minutes before the final approach.

The point simply is that overheat in IL2 is nothing but a bullshit. Drop it. It's totally unrealistic. The only purpose of it is to increase the difficulty for online users and that's all. Do you really believe that a several thousand dollars engine will cut off suddenly just because you are 3 minutes at full throttle ? Let's be serious.
