I've never opened any file or folder like that to delete anything.

Not sure why you think I'm lying about this.

I will just just use 4.2.2 from now on since it worked before, and still works. 

I think something like this has happened every time I've updated BAT, accept someone was able to help before.

this is an old file, dating from the basic install. The update has nothing to do with whatever happened to your setup.

I am not saying you're lying. Technically it's just obvious that something happened you are not fully aware of, and whatever that was has nothing to do with BAT as such or the update.

Can you do me a favor, Wing_Walker?

Can you go to this folder and get me a screenshot of how that folder looks in your install?
The marked class is the one you are supposedly missing. it's the very first in that folder by name

Sorry I was away for a while after all this.  I just retried everything and 4.2.3 still wont work.

Vampire_pilot I never saw that image you loaded its gone now.

I put my backup copy back on my computer from the external drive.  4.2.2 Hotfix4 for works in all modules and have been just using that until I had more time to try this again...

Today I re downloaded the 4.2.3 updates and reinstalled them.  The installer starts, then it shows the different parts being extracted, when its done there is no message and the installer just closes. I thought there was supposed to be some sort of message that it all worked? 


Anyway the result was the same, accept this time I can't even launch the other modules, before just WAW didn't work. 

I'm installing this over a working copy of 4.2.2 Hfx4, the only things I've changed is mission folders, like the single mission folders that I don't use much I just renamed so they were lower on the lists, and I created my own for my missions.

Everything works fine before I install the 4.2.3 folders?

Before updating, have you deactivated the Mods loaded via the JSGME?

Yeah, I tried to make sure I did all the little things like that, and shut off antivirus/firewall while I downloaded.  This thing is so huge it really sucks to forget something and have to redo it.

Holy crap this game will kill me some day, I can't even imagine what it is like trying to mod this...

Anyway, I spent literally the whole day re-downloading and reinstalling everything onto my Original IL2 4.12.2 copy and finally got through to 4.2.3 and it finally works

I did have a hiccup with the 4.2 install and had to re-download the files, but it worked after that.

I'm not sure what I did different this time accept that I put all files on my external drive and downloaded, installed, and updated everything on there.
