Fairey Battle skins for 12 Squadron in France 1940
« on: August 07, 2024, 11:30:10 AM »

Hi everyone!
I prepared 16 skins for the Fairey Battle of 12 Squadron in France, May 1940. The skins are made based on Ranwers' model and Barnesy's skin, to whom I thank for this achievement. The skins are semi-historical, some based on photographs, others only the series are historical and fictional representation. I am going to do it for 103,105,142,150,218,226 and probably 88 Squadron from the same period.
I hope you enjoy!

Maybe, someone will make a campaign for Battle in France. The campaign for France that I'm working on has 501 Squadron in the foreground. But Fairey Battle had to appear in the background and I didn't have suitable skins. That's why I made skins for each squadron. There are differences in national markings and calligraphy, the shape of the identification letters, probably the attack on May 10 surprised them when they were switching from one variant of external marking to another. I'm just guessing.
I'm posting for another Battle squadron soon. The 105 Squadron.

All the best!Stay safe and good luck to all!

Hello,Gaston!
At the beginning of the war, it was considered that Hitler could use gas, although in the first world war everyone used gas. The yellow stain is therefore a gas detection paint. I don't know if I didn't make the surface too big and if the color is right. But in 1940 all the RAF planes that were deployed in France had this paint. But, as in all cases, there may have been exceptions.
