Ok. Now try searching ships.ini for the code I sent you. There should be no more 'performance' entries than that under the Ark. Note that there is a 'Part16' below it which I left in error, but that doesn't do anything and can be ignored.

It is exactly as your entry, including that 'Part 16'.

Edit:
By the way, its visual appearance is identical to FS Clemenceau CV R98/1962.
The "Container Ship" is on the right, and the "Clemenceau" is on the left.

Then all the .ini entries are as they should be. Any error must lie in the mesh/tga files, which you could only get at using the 'dump' function. I can't help you any further, I'm afraid. Might be worth asking if someone else can replicate the problem first.

Thank you for your advice. Yes, hopefully, the moderators will notice and take care.

And thanks for creating this Container Ship! It's still the only modern merchant ship in the game which looks good in any post-1960s scenario.

I can't claim credit for creating the vessel - i just implemented in BAT. Bison did the creative work - the original thread is here:

Heyo, cbradbury!

I was AWOL as well, so there you have it. Can't say I touched any of this knowingly and could not even say that it ever worked right?
Do you happen to know when you did this, for what version?

Besides, I won't follow this techno babble in the release thread, so I cut it out of there.

What I can see immediately, that, while the ships entry calls for
3do/Ships/HMSArkRoyal_R09/Hier.him

...what is actually loaded when you open this, is another mesh:
3do/Ships/FSClemenceauR98CV_1962/Hier.him

Why this happens is not really clear to me yet.
But the fact that the stationary is not working at all is also kind of dubious. Maybe some java hickup conflict with something else that was modified.

Now I recall something about a "repair" of some other CV of that overhead package. Can't say for sure what version that was, before or after my hiatus, but the classes that contain this Clemenceau were definitely touched.

It is just real bullshit to circumvent slot creation when the slot is part of a larger mother class arrangement, sorry to say that. The chances that you damage something without noticing by repairing something else are just shy of 100%.
I had a similar chain reaction with cockpits recently. I caught that before it got out.

To make the matter worst I can say that even though in FMB you will see the Clemenceau I can see the container ship properly displaying in the object viewer as last item of the ship list.

Ps totally agree on the slot in fact the ship class files are so simple that there is no justification for not creating one together with his own 3do folder.

That is coming from a completely different file. It is not worse. That is actually as it should be LOL

All I would need is the old class files for this package to roll back an investigate whatever that other error was. I do not like to deal with ships (cbradbury knows) so I keep at a distance usually.

I also take that bullshit back, because it appears to me now that whoever provided the repair files (still searching for that source, since I sure as hell did not do that on my own XD ) apparently had a different version and that is now casing the issue.

After looking into the matter and reading the threads I think that I understand what the problem is: there are two versions of the Atlantic Conveyor container ship.

The civilian version is using the Tramp slot while the military version uses the slot of the Russian Carrier derived from the Clemenceau. https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,39133.msg435877.html#msg435877

So no surprise if in the FMB you will se a carrier while in the object viewer I can see the civilian version.

It shouldn't be too difficult to sort things out the main problem being the military version as in JTW the Tramp would be somehow obsolete and out of age.
