Hi Andy. I usually add the version number in the title of each BATShips.pdf. Guess which is the only one I didn't do it for? So unfortunately I can't remember which version of BAT the container ships were added to. Pdf was created in March 2021, so all I can say is that the release would have been shortly after that date. Also, I did not keep my files once vampire had integrated them into BAT.

Oh, whatever you do, don't start looking at the slots I used over the years! That way madness lies! I do not have the ability to create slots myself, so quite often used slots from other vessels to implement different ships instead. Wherever possible I would use a slot across eras e.g. a JTW in WAW, which avoided any conflict due to the modular nature of BAT.

I do remember using the Ark R09 slot as it had never been implemented in BAT. So essentially it would have been sent as the Ark Royal R09, but with the container ship 3do files, then integrated into the BAT version by vampire at that time.

Sorry that I can't help you any moire than that, you are asking me to remember what I did three years ago when recalling last week can be a struggle...

Just to say...
Sorry that I started the "techno-babble" in another thread and I hope that it was not the opening of a can of worms.  o_O
Hope that this issue can be resolved by the experts.

And we will continue to sink those container ships with impunity

It used to work at one point so that was not the problem. I trust cbradbury with that! The problem is the class fuckup that happened after.

It works fine in BAT 4.2.2, so any changes must have occurred after that.

That's what I was driving at, yes. The classes with that Clemenceau were handled for a fix: ShipFrCV

But whoever gave me that package missed the ArkRoyal sub class... so whatever happened here is the problem. I am backtracking this but can't find the source with that bug that was supposed to be addressed.

And here's the fix:

https://www.mediafire.com/file/8b6ipgok2nvt6kp/%2521_Fix_ContainerShip_JTW.zip/file

just a bunch of class files.  This should reinstate the Container Ship (which will be listed among other civilian ships in the stationary in the next update...)

For all I see, the other CVs of that set are working.... so I guess I will wait if there ever really was a problem with one of them.

Sorry for the ignorance, can this fix be applied to the existing BAT 4.2.3?

yes, that's what it's made for.

Expect this to be internally rectified in BAT 4.3

Hi. I tried the fix in this thread, but this error came up instead. It loads a carrier instead of the container ship.

You didn't apply it correctly then.

Further to the above. I have been able to get this working now. I added it to the JTW, BAT-Classes folder and it worked okay.
