[Updated Download of patterns.]
Greetings,
In support of BAT, as well as my current UberQuick Mission Generator (UQMG) 1946 Max (
https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,72627.0.html), specifically, its UQMG/QMB Template Builder Module (
https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,73209.0.html), I am requesting the mission design community to help me add Taxi pattern content for Template Builder.
The Template builder will save mission and template designers time in implementing taxi patterns that can be reused. UQMG 1946 Max (UQMG Max for short) uses algorithms which allow taxi patterns to be used in multiple scenarios. The taxi pattern is placed in the desired location automatically, and rotates to fit the runway angle. Obviously there are several types of runways in IL-2... so having the community add some would help. I created 34 different ones with some of them fitting some of the classic bases in IL 2.
Some of them are generic, but I designed specific ones for 4 different classic runways with short and long taxi patterns from different parking locations.
You can download the mission files and screenshots here:
https://www.mediafire.com/file/9c7eptocbwi9eav/UQMG_TaxiPatterns02.zip/fileI request that for taxi patterns, you test them first without spawn points first. The aircraft will be placed in a straight line to the right of the first plane (do it with 4 planes). If that works then place for Generic Spawn points, one for each plane in the flight in a manner that they do not create an obstacle to any taxiing plane, because depending how you place them, they will make the plane stop and not go to its takeoff. Also the Generic Spawn points need to be placed in a manner that if a second wave of airplanes used the original spawn Waypoint, they will be able to use that side by side patern without obstructions. Try some of the patterns I supply to see.
Anyway, any help would be awesome. Below you can see what it looks like in the Template Builder:
And below is the current list of waypoints I designed, and screenshots. If you do not have a place to upload the files, just paste them here using the code option, and also provide a screeshot. It is best to design them on runways that are horizontal from West to East / East to West. Other than that, you are pretty much free to use your imagination. (HINT: In the FMB, display Spawn Pattern/Points to help with some of the taxi patterns.)
Something I did not do is create taxi patterns for Seabases... those maybe fun as well.
