WxTech Compatibiity with VP Modpack

Hello, I've searched the forums for countless hours and couldn't find anything in conjunction with these 2, so I figured I'd save myself the time and just ask. Hopefully this was the right place to put it.

I simply wanted to know if WxTech Effects v1.2 or the latest version, is compatible with VP Modpack.  I seen that most versions of it have BAT attached too it and that there's an engine mod it relies on?

Any sort of help is appreciated.

Why do you want to try this older and superseded version? In the 1.6 (the latest version) you have a folder with WxTech core effects for Il-2 version different from BAT so you should try that first https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,70438.0.html

Oh wow, thanks. I'll definitely give it a try.

The only reason I said 1.2 is that it's the version I hear most of or most old videos have in the description itself. I've never really found any current video demonstrating WxTech.


Though I am curious if it's recommended to get the engine mod I've been hearing a lot about.

Our member RABIZO, who is supersensistive1465 on YouTube, uses my effects pack with vp modpack. I seem to recall that he had to do something in order to get it to work.

I've never used vp modpack and so don't know in what way it differs from a basic 4.12 Modact game.

Hopefully he'll chime in and supply some hints.  😉
