Thanks mate!

ATM I'm editing some ships guns data because they are a bit uncorrect....

I'm getting data from a navy weapons site so I have the advantage to have an unique source that seem very correct!

Among the discovers....I find that we have 3 kind of russian 45mm guns: the 20K , the 21K and the 21Kx2 (twin guns)....

Historically the 45mm barrel was developed as the 20K in the tank version and as the 21K in the naval version....so actually the 20K and the 21K are redundant....

I'm thinking to check which ships use them also in the other modules and evaluate if I can use correctly the 21K on all them to free the 20K so it could be used as 40K placeholder....the 40K is the same gun modified in 1942 with a longer barrel (65 calibers against 50) and used to upgrade existing installations....

Update about progress....

I've finished to rebuild the technics.ini....atm I'm editing it to get more natural movements of its stuff....

Cavalry now ride or charge moving without seem a tank pivoting at every waypoint and is spaced to avoid unnatural stops (or dispersing) waiting the previous one turning....

The bad news are that I'm going out for work....hope to be able continue working on evenings....

I think that the alpha release of the updated and reorganized DOF module (plus new WWI Countries and Squadrons) could be scheduled at the end of may....

Hi all!

I'm starting with the reorganizing of the chief.ini....

This is the first issue I find:

I have to modify the Tank Attack columns because they seem to be unhistorical.....and hard to use in gamepaly:

Historically: The cavalry charges was dismissed as the trench system bogged down any rapid advance.....I have no account of merged charges of tanks and cavalry....IIRC cavalry was keept in reserve to exploit the breakthrough....

In game: The cavalry have an higher average speed than tanks and since the game manage columns at the slowest vehicle speed we have charge of horses running at the same slow speed of a tank (3-5 kmph)....

I'll test to modify tanks attacks by using infantry instead of cavalry....and move charges to infantry section....

Tested....from a moving pov I prefere the infantry with the tank....even if they move in column is less strange see a slow column of soldiers behind a tank than a slow column of horses....

For compatibility purpose I have simply added the infantry tank attacks column into infantry section....

If somone have some suggestion about more variety of columns please post your contribute....

I like rationalized, logical nomenclature, and which is descriptive within the limitations. Looks fine to me!

This one....

I'm evaluating the possibility to include them in the ship section with a small text change....
