Hi

I've updated to BAT 4.3, but I can't start any of the BAT modules with "Auto adjust" in the Il-2 Selector, The Splash screen pops up for a short time and nothing happens.
If I deselect "Auto adjust" I can start IL-2 as in the old version.

What is required to run in "Auto adjust" mode?

I had the same problem with windows XP maybe there is some incompatibility with older systems? I suppose that only Mike can tell us what the problem could be

I had the same issue in Windows 11 x64, albeit in a Parallels Desktop virtual machine on a MacBook Pro, as well as in CrossOver.  So there is probably something going on with anything other than what IL-2 Selector has been developed for.  However, adjusting the manual RAM settings to whatever works best for you is also a good option if you're having problems with the auto-adjust setting.

You should still get "better", more memory efficient and stable results overall with the new version, even if you are using manual memory settings.
As for XP support in auto mode, it's supposed to work, however right now I've got no XP system at hands to test with anymore.
That being said, we could try to nail this out if someone volunteers for using debug versions and report back results in due time (like once a day at least, to keep dev times civil).

Virtual machines aren't a red flag, I've tested this on a virtual Win7 and Win11 installation on a Synology NAS, however this is really not the target environment for the Selector, therefore take it "as is" and if you see problems in virtual environments, deal with it.
There's just so many oddities I can take care of.

Mike if you provide a link I can install the debug version on my UP3.4 running on my XP PC and report back.

As for XP support in auto mode, it's supposed to work.

I can confirm my B.A.T 4.3 install would not start with Auto Memory, Windows XP (SP3).
Not a big issue, I manually set the RAM and it worked.

One quick question to the XP guys:
When you open up the console (run cmd.exe in IL-2 folder) and launch IL-2 by entering "console.exe" (and hit return), do you see an error message and if so, which one?

Starts in WAW in Win 10 without any problems.
