Most of the work is done, but there is still a lot left to do.

"Basic" Tenryu model is fully imported into IL-2. mesh_dump32 shows no errors.

The shadows work.

Damage is visualized.

It remains to divide the basic model into Tenryu and Tatsuta.

Great addition....

Can I ask if you plan to give it's small armament AA upgrade got in their service?

Quote
In July 1937, two Type 93 13 mm AA machine guns in single mounts were added on platforms near the first smokestack. These were replaced in 1940 with two twin-mount Type 96 25 mm AA guns; the 8 cm/40 3rd Year Type naval gun was removed at this time. Since both vessels were regarded as second-line units by the time of World War II, wartime modifications were minor. An additional two Type 96 25-mm twin mounts were added while at Truk in February 1942. Tatsuta received a fifth Type 96 twin mount in an August 1943 refit.

Maybe an early and a late version?

Good day. The armament will be different anyway. Tenryu has four 25 mm twin Type 96 mounts and an 8 cm/40 3rd Year Type naval gun. Tatsuta has five 25 mm twin Type 96 mounts. In addition, Tatsuta carries two depth charge launchers, but in the Il-2, they are not functional. Regarding the 8 cm/40 3rd Year Type gun. There are many different opinions, some authors say that they were removed in 1940. But there is information that such a gun was on Tatsuta as early as 1944.

In fact, the differences between Tenryu and Tatsuta concern more than just the weapons. Tatsuta has a slightly different shaped forward superstructure. The searchlight platform with the searchlight has been removed. A Type-21 radar has been installed in its place. A Type-22 radar is mounted on the mainmast. All of this will be changed in the 3D models. The skins will also be different.
