FMB trouble

Hi!

I just wanted to do some testing with my map.
But I had to realize, that the FMb is ... I don't know..broken.

First I had no WayPoint options - only the plane type and the Settings.
This problem was mentioned shortly after the release.

After saving the mission, all options were there, but after launching the mission (from te FMB) no planes were there!?
Start time was identical to mission time.

Is this a known problem allready?
Can anybody help me out here?

Hi Seppel,

I think we had better be systematic here to identify whether it is a problem local to you or a general bug (I have no problems with FMB). I noticed that one user who experienced this resolved it with a re-install, but let's not go there unless absolutely necessary.

As vampire pointed out earlier, historically there were some planes that showed this problem, and also you have been trying the FMB with some new maps.

So I would suggest trying WAW FMB with both a map and aircraft we know are working - so first of all please try building a basic mission on the Biscay map with the Blenheim IV, see what happens, then report back.

thanks for your help.
Althoguh I did change maps and planes allready,
I did as you suggested - same result :-(



As you can see, there are only the Type and the general settings.
Yesterday I tried to add anotzer Flight, then the game crashes.


I can add, that it is an WAW problem.
I did the same map(s) and everything was is it should be.

Hi Seppel

I had a similar problem when trying to create a flyover mission using your Baltic Sea map in a Ta152C, where the mission properties file would save correctly but not the mission file itself.  I later found that I'd inadvertently removed (at least I think that's probably what happened because they were no longer present in my installation) the two folders located within 3DO/Buildings/GermanCityBlocks_HSFX.

Since these were needed for the Baltic Sea map I suppose the mission file refused to save (or load) until I'd added them and no errors were noted in my log file (except for some houses without collision). 

Try to load the map in FMB that you noted the error with and check the log file to see if any essential objects are missing just in case.

Sorry Seppel but I can't confirm the issues of FMB as I have used it a lot , i build my 4.3 starting from a 4.12.2 stock installation and adding all BAT modules....

Are you sure you have the correct bldconf.ini file entries?

It is no problem of a certain map.
It is also not, that the mission won't save.

It is the problem as shown in the picture and that, after launching, no plane appears.

As the bldconf.ini is the same in all modules, I suppose, that it is okay?

OK, you can also try adding the Mission Pro Plus Mod via BATMODS just to make sure all the necessary class files are present or not corrupted:

As part of my investigation into my own issue I loaded these just to make sure after verifying there were no class conflicts.  A long shot, I know, but easy to try and rule out that any class files are missing.

So, its's definitly a WAW problem, as the DOF module works, too.

I installed 4.3 again (just over the existing one) - now it works. Let's see how long...
