IL2 BAT 4.2.2

Hi guys
We've just had a new member join our squad and he flew for the first time last night.

Everything went well except that he could not scroll his map. His mouse wheel wasn't functioning. (The mouse wheel does work in other applications)

How do we fix that problem?

thanks for your wisdom

Hi again,

I just found an early post about this issue and the conscious seemed to be that the mouse wheel had been accidentally mapped to some other function.

I'm getting our new member to go through his controls and double check

OK Third time lucky. LOL

So mapping the mouse wheel in the controls didn't seem to work or be the answer.

So we swapped out his USERS folder with a copy of my USERS folder and Viola the mouse wheel scrolled the map.  Perfect! Problem fixed.
BUT... What is it in the USERS folder that governs the map scrolling?

I opened every file but could not find anything that says something like :  Map scroll=mouse wheel.    Or words to that effect.
So if this problem happens again which part do I give a 'damned good talking to' or swear at?

The settings for the map zoom are in the conf.ini, below an example from my set up
mapPadMode=3
mapZoomMode=0
mapWheelMode=-1

If you have accidentally allocated the mouse to a control in settings.ini (quite easy to do) it will show as:

'MouseAXE_Z'

This is for the scroll wheel. So if the problem occurs again just search for that then manually delete it from the control it is attached to in the settings file. You should then get your map scrolling back.

Hope this helps.

I do not have this section in the conf.ini!?

Can I just add it? If yes - where?
