The three engined bird landing. Any idea of the exact model?
Thanks!

Looks very much like a SM-79...

On the top of the cockpit is something resembling the turret of an SM 84, though.
My two cents.

Most likely SM.79.

On SM.84 some part of the twin rudder should be visible, but the line of sight does not help

I also think it is the SM.79., always loved that particular Italian aircraft since I made the Airfix kit as a youngster. ;)

It seems to have an unmistakable silhouette when compared to other types in most photographs.

Take care and be safe.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

The Cantz1007 was initially designed with a single vertical stabilizer , but was found to
have longitudinal instability , and so one of the first modifications was the twin tail structure.
Someone with better access and linguistic capability than myself could probably find
how many examples of each type ( single vert stab versus twin vert stabs ) were built.
I believe this to be a photo of the earlier single vert stab example of the Cantz1007.
I may well be wrong.

The photo certainly shows a SM 79 Spalviero.

About 560 CANT 1007 were built, of which 450 CANT 1007 bis bideriva

The left-offset underslung torpedo definitely indicates this is an SM.79.
