4.15.1m B-534-IV CTD
« on: March 12, 2025, 09:06:44 PM »

I just updated & got a fresh install running 4.15.1m. After ironing out some roughness myself the only problem I'm left with is a freeze followed by CTD whenever loading the external model of the B-534-IV aircraft. I believe I have the corresponding log file here:

Sorry but you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.

I'd appreciate any help.

I can't help, but for me on a pure 4.15.1 Avia B-534 IV works properly. Appears in the aircraft selection window and after loading the mission.

this is the windows crash report you should also have a log.lst file with the actual reason for the crash.
just make  sure that you have the following entries in the conf.ini file
LOGFILE=log.lst
LOG=1
LOGKEEP=0
LOGTIME=0
LOGDEBUG=1
then reproduce the Avia B-534 CTD and just upload your log file to pastebin.com as this will be more useful to identify the reasons for your crash.

If a stock plane (not a mod) introduced with version 4.09 is causing a CTD could only mean that you have some corrupted files or a faulty install of the patches to upgrade to version 4.15.1

Ok I recreated it with the log.lst here, also edited the OP to include it.

If my intuition is right, reading the log file from top to bottom might be chronological. If so it doesn't shed light on the issue because the last line is just me canceling the TRK that plays on startup.

I believe it probably is a case of corrupted files that didn't write properly because I've noticed on this old HDD which has seen loads of use that game updates tend to fail, I get Cyclic Redundancy Checks often when extracting large mod-packs, and sometimes large browser downloads end up corrupted to the point they can't really be moved. In this case one of the patches I downloaded probably had a very minor issue that slid through the cracks. Oh well, better get a new SATA SSD to replace this old thing.
