BAT black screen in 5120x1440 (solved)

Hi,

I have a new Samsung curved monitor, native resolution 5120 x 1440, I can't for the life of me figure out why the game launches and plays perfectly in 3440x1440 but not 5120x1440, any ideas would be grand. Vanilla and other modpack work fine.
Latest BAT version, default conf.ini with resolution set, tried with DEP on and off, tried IL2 selector RAM Auto/fixed, tried TexCompress=0 and 1

EDIT: I have tried to slowly increase the resolution, anything beyond 4480x1440 gives the black screen on boot up, 4479x1440 works perfectly.

Interesting all those "not enough memory" warnings when trying to load a number of effects files. Do you get similar warnings when a lower resolution setting does run?

Indeed, these errors only appear along with the game not loading at resolutions from 4480x1440 upwards.
Anything below this resolution, for example 4479x1440, log.txt shows no errors and il2 loads fine.

The game runs perfectly fine at 2560x1440 and 3440x1440. Windows resolution is always set to 5120x1440.

My GC, Rtx 3080 runs everything fine at 5120x1440, what is strange is that il2 Vanilla, HSFX and VpModpack run great at 5120x1440

Just a wild guess, but what sets BAT apart from Vanilla, HSFX and VP is the default presence of the HD DLLs.
You could cross-check this by backing up il2core.dll and il2corep4.dll from your BAT folder, and replace them with corresponding files from the "working" Vanilla game for instance.

Cheers for the suggestion.

I have found what seems to be at the root of this issue, it was to do with files in the fonts folder.

WARNING: TT::Load(): unknown error is triggered by the loading of lcd.font and lcd.mat, they trigger a CTD at 35%.

The black screen and crash at launch is caused by the loading of arialb12.font and arialb12.mat.

So, at the moment my font folder located at (game location)\#WAW3\STD\font currently has all files except the four listed above and launches and plays perfectly at 5120x1440.
I am aware what arialb12.font does, I do not know what lcd.font does and how important it may be.
