Good to hear that the 'North Sea map' is going to be finished and it looks like its worth the waiting. Don't know how far South you're going with this one Waggel, but as Dutchman I also would to see Michel's map finished. The Southern part is very interesting, first because I live there  ;) and second there was a lot of aerial activity, wich I hope will lead to many good missions. So please both of you gentleman do not stop with these projects. And a warm thank you in advance for all the work you have put in it.

Great job, Waggel! Some parts of this map even cover my current home-region, albeit a bit north of Münster. ;D
Very cool to see the WIP Bremerhaven and other northern cities.

I also look forward to michel_boonstra's very delicious Netherlands map and the populated Amsterdam.
I love the Netherlands..

Cheers

Tom

@ OberstDanjeje: weed does not pass :-)

@ MrOblongo:
Muchas gracias. During my research for the airfields I have found many data and photos of that time. When the map is finished i whould like to make a little airfield guide with historical information and a chronical list of the units that served on this airfield. Nice for mission builders.

@ henkypenky:
Indeed. The netherlands map is much more a home for the dutch community because the complete netherlands are presented on this map. Secondly the airfields in the 1940 map are from end 1930 until 1940. When the germans had taken the netherlands in 1940 some airfields have been expanded with tarmac runways etc.

But it whould be nice if the airfields that didnt change whould be the same on both maps. The map builders have less work for example. This is not only for the netherlands 1940 map and the northsea map.

For example the 8th air force made attacks on france in 1942-44 but in nearly the same time they made attacks on norhtern germany from 1943 to 1944. If you now make a campaign for the heavy bomb groups you could use the 352th crossing the cannel map for raids to France and you could use the northsea map for the raids to nothern germany and the netherlands.

It whould be a little bit confusing if the airfields in east england whould be different on both maps because historical they where the same if you know what i mean.

Michel, heb je enig idee wanneer je een Bèta/proef versie vrijgeeft, want ik zou het heerlijk vinden om, met het huidige kabinet, Den Haag te bombarderen ;)
