Skin request for a P-63 Kingcobra (what if scheme)
« on: August 23, 2010, 07:24:05 AM »

Hi, I am hoping someone can help me.
Not having photoshop I am unable to create any new skins..I did have a promo copy of photoshop CS2 but the 28 day licence has long gone.

I am wanting to fly a USAF Kingcobra on Il2 (of course the USAF only used the P-63 in a 'pinball' role) but it would be cool to have one in overall aluminium and Korean war type markings much like the F-80.

Or even ANG marking for various states?

Anyone interested in making some skins like this?

Get GIMP. It's free and has much of the functionality of Photoshop.

In a pinch, for very simple skins, you can even us MS Paint.

For "what-if" P-63 skins, I'd look for a good template and good markings files and fonts. Once you've got that, it should be easy to make simple AFNG skins.

Exactly what I just wanted to post. I created lots of skins with the gimp, after using Corel Photoshop before, and I didn't regret installing the gimp.
