Thanks, Neil !!! this map looks very interesting !!!

But if I do not use the ZUTI's Airfield friction mod, will my game be affected ?

And if it is necessary, is the ZUTI's Airfield friction mod available as a stand-alone ? does anyone have a direct link ?

Thanks !

Thanks Neil, lovely job.

Sadly, I've installed, and edited the required .ini's, but the map doesn't show up in the FMB list. The old version (included in HSFX) is there, but not this one. It must be! I hear you say. If the all.ini entry's correct (which it is). No sign, I'm afraid.

Thanks again. :)

Which mod pack are you using? UP, HSFX or SAS?

Yes, you do need to have the friction mod enabled either as part of ZUTI's MDS mod or the standalone version available here ----->  http://ultrapack.tuttovola.org/index.php/topic,247.0.html

Not really, sorry mate.

I've previously installed lots of maps into HSFX, but have never come across this problem before.

Thanks for your efforts Neil.  :)

No probs ;)

Are your other added maps in your IL2 Sturmovik 1946/MODS/MAPMODS/maps folder?

Where are your all.ini and static.ini's located?

Cheers, Neil :)

Neil, I've just realised my mistake. My user account control doesn't let me save an edited .ini into the game folder, so I keep a "Temp for edits" folder in "documents" full of updated .ini's. I make the entries in here, then copy/paste/overwrite back into the relevant folder in the game shell.

Guess who put his all.ini back into MODS/STD/com/maddox/il2/objects, instead of his mapmods folder!!! ::)

What a complete knob!

Sorry for wasting your time mate, thanks for your help and the great map.

Hi Neil, sorry to bother you again.

Despite the fact that I've got the Zuti friction mod enabled (I've tried both ways, JSGME & MODS folder), I can't set landing points in FMB. And take-offs are a tad, erm..bouncy, to say the least. I've been through the Zuti readme, but that's just confused me further! Any ideas on an appropriate course of action?

Cheers.  :)

Neil,
That new dome-open-ended hangar with the offices on one side?
That alone was worth the download.  Saved a flick of flying a P-40N through it, but darned if I've figured out how to load links to such here.
Great map of the top of down under.   ;D

The standalone friction mod requires nothing further other than being placed in its folder. (ie: "Zuti_AirfieldsFriction_STD_v0.4") into your "MODS" folder for it to work.

If you are using the "carrier takeoff mod" there is a special version of the friction mod to deal with the incompatibility between the two mods (CTO version).

Cheers, Neil :)
