Early Bf.109 Lufwaffe Generic Skinpack
« on: August 26, 2010, 06:20:12 AM »

Messerschmitt Bf.109B/C/D Generic Skinpack
- Luftwaffe 1936-1940 -

Early Versions Bf.109 in Luftwaffe service

*B-1:
What-if generic 1936 (à la He.51)
Full Splinter camo 1937

*B-2:
Full Splinter camo 1938
Full Splinter camo 1939

*C-1:
Full Splinter camo 1938
Full Splinter camo 1939

*D-1:
Full Splinter camo 1939
Splinter top camo 1940 (2 versions)
Splinter top camo mottled 1940

*D-1 Late:
Full Splinter camo 1939
Splinter top camo 1940
Splinter top camo mottled 1940

Every skin is Marked (no numbers)+HK Only+blank

NOTE:
until very early 1940, HK on tail was painted between fin and rudder, so for prewar scenery (at least where red band was present) i suggest to select markings OFF (hoping someday the swastika placing can be corrected :) )

VERY IMPORTANT (CREDITS):

i've combined a great number of layers from an infinity of templates, some are from il2skins years, so i just dont' know who make one layer or another..

for this, i want to give credits to EVERYONE from the beginning has done a template for the 109.. so, if you think i've used some of your work, it's almost certain it's true.

In this case, however, i give extra credits to Ala13_ManOWar who made the early series panel lines

some screens :)

What if 1936 (but i'm making a complete multicolor pack with white bands and dots)

B-1, 1937

B-2, 1938 (like 37, but with a bit more of weathering)

C-1, 1939

D-1, early 1940

D-1 Late, 1940 Mottled

I'm not I sure I understand. Does this mean the in-game Hakenkreuz will be placed in the middle of the fin in the DBW version?

when early 109 mod was published, rudder skin mapping was changed a bit from default 109, so my skins were "disaligned" on bmp, so in game was all aligned.

now with DBW seems this mapping problem is resolved, rudder mapping is now re-aligned as default 109, but for this my skins now are not aligned ingame, so i'll republish an updated version for DBW in next future :)

also, wih dbw 1.4 iirc, HK ingame marking is placed historically centered on B-C-D-E1 models, so for generic skins i'll do a red band/white dot only (something like my he111 prewar) :) i'm very happy for this!

That's what I wanted to hear. Guess I'll have to jump on this DBW bandwagon then  8)
