Hi all,

I am after some info on adding objects to existing maps, i have followed the instructions for the map building version of IL-2 given in the excellent tutorial by kevinp here

http://www.allaircraftarcade.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14643

and i have created a seperate map building install of IL-2. However i am not trying to make a map from scratch, i just want to add permanent objects to existing maps to make factory complexes, railyards etc. I tried opening an existing map in my map building version and editing it, but it does not appear to work like that, and i get a black screen if i try to zoom in, when the map changes from inflight map view to mission builder view. i can save the map as it is but i cannot edit it in anyway.

i am sure some people around here have used the map building version to edit maps, i was wondering if someone could give me some pointers on what to do please.

many thanks for any help

regards

slipper
