My Static. ini is almost 800k ,  what size is yours  ;)   My Static.ini was donated to me by Gerax and i have just been adding to it.  It seem's to work on most Maps except Madrid  :'(  I have all the objects in the list installed,  so it must be the placement of them that's the problem.  I had trouble with KhaGol Map, but i somehow seem to fix it.

My static.ini is 693k - and I thought I had almost all objects that have ever come out ...

I don't think however that placement of the lines in the static.ini is much of an issue. Their placement only effects which number they are assigned when you make a mission with 'objects'

On the other hand, when you copy the files themselves into your MODS folder, these must indeed be placed at the right depth and with the correct directory structure. So you should pay attention to how your files and folders are organized.

A static.ini file is nothing but a simple .txt file with a different suffix ... you can edit it with notepad, Word or any number of simple and free text editors. Freeware sites are flowing over with text editors.

You might see if you can find your unedited, basic static.ini file. It is located in ...

...Il2 Sturmovik 1946/Files/com/maddox/il2/objects/ ...

This version is the static.ini that comes with the unmodded game. It is in other words the raw static.ini file, the minimum version ... you might wish to compare it to your modded static.ini file and perhaps extract the differences so you can go over them. There might be double entries (though that should not give any problems normally), or other things might come to your attention.

Or you can use the basic static.ini file to re-install the entries necessary for the all new object mods and then try it out ...

I found a set of new Objects for Madrid ??

With the Universal Static.ini Checker?

If so, post the list here and we'll about identifying from which pack they come from. Then you can install that pack.

Melancholic? I was rather hoping you'd wish to join the International Brigades and hum along to the tune of the Himno de Riego ... ha ha

Ha ha ... no no - I'm strictly off-line. When I even fly for fun, which is not so often.

I was simply trying to sound historically atmospheric, be a bit jocund pretending to be in the past. I think that members who are enamored of flight sims, and air battles are somewhat romantics at heart, or at least like to pretend being back in the past.

The International Brigade mention was just to bring it into context with the SCW. Although if you ask me, for all intents and purposes, we have our own special kind of International Brigade here at SAS. Or a real Foreign Legion with members from all over the globe. And just like when you joined up in Sidi Bel-Abbes or Orange, no one asks about your past here at SAS either ... ha ha.

I am sorry to keep bugging you with Madrid Map.
I made a new Static .ini using the one found in Files/Maps as a start.
I put all the objects in according to the readme file.
I made sure to copy Church10 object into the list,  so it's there !!
I got the "same" message back from the Objects finder :
