PZL37 is one of the few planes that fought all the war. The same planes, as production ended with the outbreak of war.

Thanks Ranwers great mod.I have one question is it just me or does anyone else have a problem getting her into the air from a standing takeoff?She seems to torque to the left a bunch even with tail wheel locked and no amount of rudder seems help?She also seems to be slow and heavy with a load of bombs even with flaps extended for takeoff and full power applied.I got her into the air once but quickly lost airspeed and bellied out 50 yards or so off the runway.

Er, Gumpy, probably wildly wrong (I've not tried this beauty yet), but the symptoms you describe sound very much like an attempted takeoff with only one engine at full power. Are you sure you selected throttle for both engines... ;D

With regard to my earlier response to Gumpy, it is definitely a little underpowered with full fuel and bombload, but I managed to get airborne all right by using full throttle + boost, and all the runway - it is bit little marginal though. Lock the tailwheel and feed in lots of right rudder trim. It will still tend to swing left, but it seems controllable enough...
I suspect with a lower all-up weight, it will take off much more easily.

I can take off with max bomb load by using a lot of rudder correction, but AI can't and thus my wingmans ditch at the end of runway or crash into something or get into air a couple of runway lengths after the end of runway.

The only wrong i think with this plane ( a tiny detail) is that the Upper gun has no limitations and like i saw in the video its usable only 45-50 degrees at etc direction !
But maybe i am wrong because this might be more advanced type !

Not "add" but "change" existing lines.
Everything works with me (UP2.01).

Similar, but different observation : my wigman take off successfully, but I cannot give sufficient rudder correction and the max speed I achieved is about 125 km/h. I must say I am a fighter (one engine) pilot, have no two thrust gears separately. Is FM OK ?

I also have a problem with the aircraft yawing left constantly. Are the engines providing equal amounts of thrust?

Seems I still have a problem installing this plane.
Now I get a 70% crash, which indicates that there is something wrong with one of the ini's.
To that I am a little puzzled, as in the readme it says:

I have the latest one.
It is not the problem of buttons. I tried version 7.2 before, and with success. Now I have v. 7.3 (the latest one) and all is OK. Btw: since I have not the static aircraft mod installed, I did not added anything else than air.ini, weapons.ru , plane.ru and Skinfolder entries, nothing at all concerning static: and the game starts OK. The only issue is the FM, I suppose.

I figured it out. I had the same problem. The fix is that you are looking in the wrong location for those stationary and technics files. They are located in the "Files" folder of your IL. Then drill down\com\maddox\il2\objects and you will see all the proper .ini files to edit. Here is what my path looks like
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Files\com\maddox\il2\objects

If you have those files in the mods folder use them, anyway you don't need to modify regiments, static and technics.ini

Ahhh....
Slight problem here, chaps...
It's a lovely mod and at first all seemed well. However, I've discovered that with the PZL 37 mod activated any control input from the joystick crashes the game, regardless of aeroplane chosen. Remove the Los, the problem goes away. That's a shame.

No joy for me sadly. With the patch installed, I get a 0-5% CTD.
I also notice the same joystick problem afflicts the new Mosquito TseTse. So either the java code does something incompatible with my system, I've reached a limit in terms of memory and assets installed, or some idiot is doing something malicious somehow. It'll be interesting to see if the next new mod does this too.

We need better installation guidelines for this guys!!
I dont have a regiments.ini but have REGSHORT_RU and REGINFO_RU which look to contain similar type entrries to the one given - but neither contain a section?
The images for the regiments file are in .tga all my others in there are .bmp ?
I assume we keep the 'Explode Weapon Metal' line in the 'technics.ini? This is not explained?
I assume the extra folder just goes in MODS as stated earlier - again not properly explained?

Have the latest Buttons and overlooked all proper needed lines (air,plane, weapon), 75% CTD. Thought it's a Diff FM Mod thing and placed it all before, 75% CTD persists. Any idea, anyway, cool Mod, maybe my IL-2 is overclocked. Tse-Tse and PZL not working? Hmm, strange behaviour of my rig.

My 70% crash problems were solved by leaving out the changes to the Regiments and stationary ini's.
Nice plane, but a bugger to get airborne :).

I've done some messing around and I now know the total number of aeroplane mods is not responsible. Also, I have the Mossie TseTse and A20N beta mods working just fine. I did think for a while that the Canvas Knights Test mod was responsible in some way, but no, the joystick issue is related to the P37 mod somehow. My current thinking is that it's something to do with Static Aircraft mod which I notice this mod requires. Still need to play around with some files, but I'll let you know if I get a result (in case you thought I wouldn't ;) )

Ah cadril good to hear its not the mossie as i was about to send you a pm to see if we could fix it/trouble shoot, since i have yet to install this aircraft (and from the sound of it, its sounding quite complex) think i will hold off for the time being.

I don't have the static aircraft part of the mod installed, you don't have to install that part if you don't want to and I haven't had any problems with the mod. Perhaps those of you with the joystick crash issue could try just installing the plane without the static aircraft part and see if it solves your problems.

I might have to. Static Aircraft 1.2 crashes my system. But then it wasn't installed when the problem came to light.

Got it working by deactivating FPS Boost and Cloudmod v1 in Modfolder, updated JSGME as well, as some parts were corrupted.
Right after deactivating FPS and Clouds it worked by adding simply the air.ini, as it should.

Downloaded, installed, and found a beautiful rendering of the PZL.37. Flew her into battle, dropped ordinance, got shotup, made it home on one engine, (LoL)barely!!! Very evocative, obviously a lot of work and craftsmanship, and we get to enjoy it for free. Ranwers and friends, thanks for sharing your artistry, and thank you for your generosity.

Folder deleted. It just doesn't work on my system sadly, no matter what I do. I tried just about every permutation of file, content, and name I can think of.
Loaded and working properly now I've disabled all the WW1 and Korean mods.

I'm happy as Larry now the Los is working on my system. Nice, but I spotted an error. Notice the undercarriage in this pic...

The problem here is that while it looks fine stationary, no world war two aircraft used undercarriage at this angle in real life, because if you notice when the aeroplane is lifting it's tail on the take-off run, the undercarriage is trailing thus the shock absorbers won't work efficiently, and in fact there's an increased risk of shearing off the leg completely.
Shouldn't it be angled more like this?...

I have worked with that issue and with my FM it was possible. However, with Kwiatek's FM you can give at most 50% fuel to get them take off, and even 20 x 100 kg bombs with 100% fuel is too much for AI. I have also made a version of Kwiatek's FM that makes AI take off better, but currently it's being tested to find out which FM is most realistic.

Lot of thanks to Rawners for his V2 update of PZL-37, so more closely looking the real thing !
But i got following problem after installing and flying it:
The legs of the main gear cannot be seen when gear is down (only the wheels can be seen), and the rotors of the engines are not visible too ! (i have removed old version of PZL-37, and not installed static PZL-37)
This happens when i'm using OpenGL
With DirectX, all parts of the aircraft are normally shown.
Common opinion is that IL2 is running better with OpenGL, and i really prefer water effects with OpenGL.
So i would like to keep on with it!
Could anyone help me to see the whole PZL-37 with OpenGL?

Witam Panowie :-) Tak jak powyzej lamana angielszczyzna mam prosbe. Na wszelkie sposoby staralem sie wgrac Losia do Ultra Packa 2.01. i doopa. Efekt byl zawsze taki ze gra sie wywalala przy ladowaniu. Jesli chodzi o podpowiedz z forum - Mam katalog -Mod i w nim jest katalog STD (nie ma w nim pliku air. ini). Nie mam katalogu Mod jako takiego. Wszelkie pliki które podawaliscie (do wpisywania Losia) znajdowalem w katalogu files (oczywiscie w Il-2). Bede wdzieczny za instrukcje krok po kroku - taka jak dla laika.

I have an unusual problem. After an apparently successful install in UP201 I find that the "I" control will not start the engines. If I choose an air start the engines run normally, answering all control inputs. After landing in can taxi off the runway and use the "I" key to shut down the engines, but if I try to restart, the "I" key won't get the engines turning again. Any ideas?

It's nothing unusual. You must go into options and assign key to select engine 1, 2 ect. To start the engine on the ground first you should press key to select engine 1 than press I. The same procedure with the second.

That should work; I use Cntrl-I= Select Engine 1, Alt-I= Select Engine 2, Shift-I= Select All Engines. Just trying 'I' or All Engines won't seem to work for multi engine aircraft for Ignition. Or, when on the ground, just hit Autopilot, let them start the engines, then turn off Autopilot and go :)

HSFX 5.0 buttons doesn't have FMs for new planes and SAS buttons wont work with HSFX 5.0. Thus adding new planes to HSFX 5.0 is not easily possible. In a few weeks you can get new Ultr@Pack that has more complete planeset included and will work with SAS buttons and new planes. Those who want to mod their modpack should wait for next UP since HSFX is built to be a standard modpack for online use in SEOW without modifications made by players.

I won't even ask if anyone has a template for this aircraft, but what about a void? I can't seem to find one. With a void though, it is possible to make a halfway decent template which would be very useful for this unusual plane.

PZL37 v2.2 working good under HSFX6, its flyable with all 3 turrets, only FM is need 411 fix plus have issue that bombadier Pe-2 sightings it´s not activated.

So far I have:
PZL.24 -installed
PZL.23 & PZL.42- installed
AutoDiffFM for HSFX6 - installed
Btw: what is with this strange "PZL_PuW_bombs"? are they part of the PZL.23 & PZL.42 pack (because I can´t find them in the pack) and necessary for a correct loading?
Got someone else the PZL.37 to work under HSFX6?
Any helpfull tips are welcome...

It does not work because it is not for a single FM. FM it is included in any of the buttons. For version 4.10 and 4.09. And the buttons other than a true HSFX6, this Diffm + does not read right. Only single FM.

BombSights_Fix was prepared to solve bombing sight problems of some default planes in SAS Mod Act 5.20-5.22/SAS AI mod 5.20-5.22. It is not needed for SAS ModAct 5.30/SAS AI mod 5.30.
Unfortunatelly it doesn't contain fix for PZL.37 Los.

I like this plane. But it does need some 4.12 compatability fixes, like assigning the bomb bay doors key, and the polish bombs are all just one bomb type, but other than that, a good mod.

You have not applied the BombSight update for 412, link is in first post. Most bomber import from 409,410 have different bombsight codes, this one is resolved.
Pactch the file 01F06F060DE3E402. I use 412.2 modact 5,3, I re-checked bombsight: it works. ;)
