My first (little) MOD

Like I already sayd: The rockets are historical correct! a few of the last A-20 were equiped with HVAR on zer-zero-launcher. The Gunpods are for the friends of KTO-action with A-26 .... and for fun ;)

That's an odd bug, I had a quick look at the file and the numbering of what button deploys what gun/rocket/bomb loooks correct so I'm not sure how you've got that bug lol

Hi. Just tried it and it shows up with no crash but rockets,gunpods and bombs dont show in the loadout screen visually. the loadout is there in letters but they dont visuallyshow. Am I missing something. i checked the readme and nothing there about this. My install is SAS with mod activator(latest) and heavily modded.

I already had a look:
I defined the last 3 original MG and the first 3 new MG in the classfile with the same number.
I already wrote the new classfile but I have to change the MG-Hooks in the WingR_D0.msh and WingL-Do.msh
thats all (I think).

hmm..
I only tested the plane in UP.2.01 (clean and heavy modded)!
Perhaps it will be better if I solved my bug ?
Does anybody have the same problem ..?

and rocket loadout does not show up in loadout screen or game but is listed.

Hi, again, Bombs show. So its just the rockets and gunpods. You have listed HVAR ROCKETS but I thought these were defalt in game? or do we need some 3rd pty wep pack?

Malone I think he means the HVAR's are weapons that came with default IL2. ;)

Bombs, Guns, Rockets, Pylons always show up on the loadout screen as long as the loadout has them. Often 3D mesh pylons that aren't actually defined as pylons in the game will only appear upon spawn. Or they may disappear upon spawn. This is true of the mosquito and p47 for example.
If you update the A-20 mod with the correct hooks and then see if the problem occurs again. Till then due to hook conflicts it may do some weird things.

DL th e plane on sunday it showed up but when I opened it up in qmp it shows plus the weapon loadout but when I go to fly shows a hook problem not found.

Hi Doc, first of all congratulations for your mod, it has great potential.
But yes, it's still really buggy. I tested it, and these are my results:
- on clean UP 2.01 installation, loadouts works well, but guns in turrets don't shot;
- on my modded UP 2.01 I have the "hooks" problem (as other people said); this bug is related to the position of the mod in the loading process (after or before other A-20 mods).
In this case, this mod is in conflict with other A-20 mods present on this site (A-20G, A-20H, A-20G RKKA/RKKF and A-20Gussr), as they share common files and names.

The error message I get is no hook_mgundump09 I got torpedoes, a few guns and bombs. But no rockets other words the plane is great

Okay, I see the conflict issues. Docholiday it'd be advisable to change the 3do folder in the class file to A-20H_late(Multi1) rather than using the current one. This way it eliminates conflicts with overwriting and changing the A-20G(Multi1) meshes which are used by a lot of current aircraft. Also there is A-20G(Multi1) A-20G(USA) A-20G(AU) so assuming you haven't changed the 3do links in the class file then you would need to replace the meshes in all 3 folders rather than just multi1. This will explain why people may have problems when using the US version or whatever AU stands for. If you want more information then pm me and I'll go into it in more detail. (btw you can remove the lines that make it use 3 folders, one 3do folder will do such as the one I've named).

No, I'm sure its that they just want to give you time to solve the bugs. Modders have asked in the past that guys not ask everyday for updates. I'm sure thats all it is. How is going Doc?

I spoke of the version 1.1
I solved the issue with the turret gunner and, with the help of Raptor, I solved (I hope it) the problem with incompatibility with the other modded A-20.
The sense of my question was: "are there further problems with my plane?"
I am only unsure if it is a good sign that there are no more posts after the release of my update. ;)

Works fine for me also (I run a SAS mod-activated game); one small bug(?), I noticed: When I am shot down and loose the right wing, part of the engine (the outer ring) remains "floating" next to the plane. Apart from that, beautiful plane! Congratulations on a fine job and many thanks, 8)

Because I have not really touched the 3d-strukture (only inserted the hooks via text-editing the .msh) I have no explikation for this phenomen !

I made a version with remouved wing-Bombracks and with a changed outload. She is much prettyer ;)
I will provide it tomorrow as Patch. So it`s Your choice if You prefer the version with or without wing-bombracks.

Thank you very much Doc. This is great and will due till the A/B-26 ever comes out of hiding. That much fire power facing forward will do wonders to anything on the ground. I love it just the way it is so please don’t take this wrong. Is the any way the turret could be commanded by the pilot to also face forward to fire and add to the ground happiness? If no, no worries. This is a great mod for your first one. Way to go Doc. Thanks

It is geometrical nearly not posibel to point the A-20 turret at the front for ground pounding.
But I am on the work for building a fake late A-26 with 14 MG`s (8 in the nose + 6 in the wings) + rockets + wingtanks, underbelly gunner remouved, wings without permanent bombracks and so on...
by the way: Did You test my patch who remouves the wing pylons ??

Sorry I have no explication ! Did You try a reinstall ?
Install first 1.1 then have a look if it works.
Then install the patch 1.2. --> this could help to find the location of the problem

Well, after so many years of IL2, modding (ie adding mods) enjoying all you others great work I should know HOW to put the right mod in the right place! BUT appatently I don´t (didn´t)! Sorry to bother you, now I got it working!

Thanks for this mod. Up to now, I have not paid much attention to the A-20 because it didn't have a cannon or rockets. Now that it does, it's a lot more fun to fly.
