I and WESTERN221 make a very big pack whit Corvette and Escort ships (https://www.mediafire.com/imgbnc.php/02bb2274d703ed15992052fac8196b9b92dac3784034b3359d0b143902fb26576g.jpg)
this pack have :Flowers class in two version , Gabbiano class in three R.M. ships and two in K.M. and two Escort ships for I.J.N. the Ukuru class and the type tei (CD-D) class in fours different version , for this reason the pack is very large for download.

Great idea! We need this kind of ships, we have lot of AC carriers, battleships, but except destroyers when we set up convoys we lack these small escort vessels. Thanks to fill another forgotten domain in this game.

Hi gio963tto. Thanks for these. I can easily instal ships. But I always make a mistake adding the guns. I have not added any other guns to my DBW. Where exactly should they go?

IN SHIPS.INI before the line at top on "//Ship Specs [Kirov]", remember before put in the files a new entries, save a copy of ships.ini.

If it can be useful, I have refreshed the skins of these two escort Japanese corvettes of our beloved Gio963tto, obviously overwriting the original files inserted into their respective folders, copying and saving the originals.

I don't see any folders in the already installed ship pack of escorts and corvettes, that would be overwritten by the newest repaints. Vanoc, Verity, Vivien, Worcester ... these appear to be new ships ...
I don't want to appear a noob, but where do I put them?

I apologise for for this rant, but is there any other option for downloading these lovely little ships as its is getting stuck at 19Mb.

Andy, do you use a download manager or something?
if not, that might help.
i use an app called FlashGet, but there are many alternatives, most of which will allow you to resume a lost download.
Mediafire is usually pretty stable, perhaps it's an issue from your side, which might be resolved by using some type of download manager app. :D

You can always try copying the link into basic Windows Explorer ... should work that way as well.

I've just downloaded it with no problem, using Firefox Browser, no download manager and slow broadband speed <1Mb/sec. I have FlashGot installed but did not need to use it for this.

I have been trying to install this pack for a month now with no luck, crash to desktop at 70%. I'm using DBW 1.71. thanks for any help.

It is a possible class files disguise because some ships need a ShipExtention mod ( his is in this site from Western) or have class files conflict whit others my old mod ,if you have.

First thing, post your logfile text from an occasion when you have CTD at 70%
To debug the install:
Leave the Escort Pack mod folder in the #DBW folder.
Remove all Escort Pack entries from the ini and properties files.
Does the game start ok?
Put all of the Escort Pack entries into ships.ini
Does the game start ok?
Put the two entries for one of the Escort Pack ships in chief.ini
Does the game start ok?
If not post the logfile text

Hum!! Got the Flower class ships working by installing V/W and Z class destroyers.
Managed to open the 9.5 mb download (copied into different location before canceling and removing the .part extension)
and found to my much happiness a lovely pair of boats now bobbing around Malta harassing the locals. :D
A bit of care and attention adding the ini's and Bert's ya Antie.
Tried the download manager but this got stuck at 98%.

Seems to work in my 4.12.2 Modact 5.3 install, but I get the following errors in Log.lst.
These ship names (e.g, ItalPoetiDD) are not related to the installed selection, and so I'm puzzled about their appearance here... Perhaps I must also install another ship pack, or else I might have done something doltish. ;)

This does no harm. It indicates that the class files include classes for ships which you do not have installed. A non critical error. Ship classes are normally in groups which are added to as new mods are created. If you install the Poeti later be careful not to overwrite the classes with an older obsolete set.

Can't help you then, sorry. You could, of course, place a moving ship with two waypoints of speed 0 which would, essentially give you a stationary ship. Or place two waypoints and put a long 'sleep' command which would virtually do the same thing.

If it works as a moving ship then the stationary version will also work.
Have you followed all of the instructions in the Corvette and Escort Pack?

In my 413.4 version the stationary is not working.

I dont use 4.13.4 for mods so I can't comment any further.

:) It must be said that GiĆ²'s escort package has never worked perfectly, depending on the installations some of the group's corvettes disappeared from the static or were not available in the dynamic .. i, given my very few notions of modding, I gave up for some time, however, I have the conviction that there is something missing or wrong in the log files ... and not only in the Italian and German escort ships, even in the Japanese and British ones ..!

in fact i just took only Vespa (& 1 class with name Vespa inside) and placed into a folder with Shipgio z7-29DD. Thats all.

Just done a fresh download of the Corvette Pack and installed it in SASModAct5.3.
Just tested the Vespa. No problems. Both the moving and stationary ships appear in the test mission.
Only none standard installation is the requirement to paste text for the new guns in ships.ini.
All as per instructions.

So, only advice I can give is to check the installation again.
My installation is in 4.12 so I cannot confirm that it works in 4.13

Make a backup of the existing ones before overwriting, then you can always restore them. Its always sensible to do this.
Why all? -- because it will not work without all of them. The file sizes are small and it does no harm to include them.

Here's how it works with ships, vehicles...
A Class (mother-Class) contains the names of the Objects to be called (Class-Daughters).
So if you have three ships you'll need:
- the Mother Class.
- the three Class-Daughters who will be called. If one of them is absent... boom 70% !

...but would it be possible to have; for all the corvettes mentioned; "scaflo" and "scaflo dmg" in 3073 ko?...they do not appear in the FMB. :(
