I can't believe it but i want Xplane over the next MS sim. Besides, x plane is FAA approved and has stunning graphics
-
No guns?
No interest. Its like buying Arma to march in formation and sing cadence.
BUT it would be a great base for a combat flight sim don't ya think? Looks amazing!
-
Looks great indeed, i always preferred X-plane above MSFS, because i never had that feeling of flying in MSFS. And when you crash, you are just a sigar sticking out of the ground, haha. Nice realism.
Hope v10 will have guns/weapons, just like v9.

Oh wait...these DO?
Damage models?

V9 has some guns modelled. DM is toned down a bit, but it is there. ;)

Totally agreed but X-Plane is like flying over the desert....empty spaces everywhere.
MS + ORBX scenaries (per example) beats X-Plane hands down.
I think prepar3d is the way to go because of the MS add-ons support.

That is true, im more interested about the dynamics, there is a modified FSX that is FAA approved
-
Yeah the more detailed dynamics x-plane's supposed to have sound interesting. I thought I read somewhere x-plane9 had a plane design suite thing where you could build planes and stuff. At school they have versions of both Microsoft flightsim and xplane in some of the simulators. I wonder what kind of super rig a person would need to run that?!

X-PLANE is FAA approved in a very limited way, just some IFR procedures. So the "famous" argument about X-Plane being better than FSX because it´s FAA approved it´s not really true. Both of them have its advantages and disavantages...try both, choose whatever you like, or even fly both (if you have enough free time ;))
-
Wait... that was the X-15 at the start of the vid, wasn't it...
Imagine flying that...
Jeez, mach 4+ flight... ???

Yea that is true, There is a heavily modified FSX that has more realistic flight dynamics, cant remember the name though

a flight simulator with PS3 level of graphics..... for the public..... Good luck building a system to play this game at a good framerate
