Hello all, seeing as I'm forever asking folks for these and I'm currently taking my first steps into altering java code in eclipse, I've started a project for stationary planes to allow any mod aircraft that you may want in your 4.11.1 SAS ModAct 4 that doesn't come equiped with the necessary stationary files to be added to the sim.
I intend to include more as I add any aircraft to my 4.11.1 SAS ModAct 4.
Many thanks to those who compiled the stationary aircraft files in DBW and previous stationary planes compilations as some of their entries were used as reference when compiling the stationary and technics.ini in this mod.
PS_Stationary Planes Dec 16 2013 is the latest upload added.

The update includes the complete lists for stationary.ini and technics.ini that have been added so far.
My entries are added at the end of the default aircraft ones.
To use: either enter the necessary text to the stationary and technics for the particular aircraft you want, or add all the entries and
comment out any aircraft not added to your install, eg:

If you remove any mod aircraft please remember to remove the text entry in the stationary and technics files or CTD. ;)
Not all aircraft featured are available from SAS, they are added for anyone who has them in their install. Some may already
have a stationary available, just add the entries you require.

PLEASE NOTE: In my install when the CantZ506B or CANT_Z1007_BIS were selected as stationary they would not show.
Once selected the sim would freeze and if you then clicked in the fmb selecter screen a CTD will result.
This was caused by the Fiat G-56 mod which once de-activated cured the problem. :D
Also be aware that certain aircraft appear to stand above the ground, this is not a fault of the stationary planes mod.

There are two readme in the download, one for V2 and a second for this update V3. To anyone who is downloading this for the first time you will need to add the entries from both.

Glad you like it guys, I'm just going to keep adding to it as I put new aircraft into my 4.11.1 with SAS ModAct 4, they have to be working of course. ;)
Next additions hopefully will be the Il-2 Community P-40 Pack v1.1, I installed the aircraft last night but have yet to fire up eclipse and add them to the mod. Sadly some aircraft are a bit of a bitch to do as the naming can be different from those in DBW. ??? It has just taken me two days to finally get the Bu-181 working. :P

I know the planes are there but I've never tried to create classes to get them flyable for 4.11.1 and HSFX 6 versions.
My question is : can you fly with them with 4.11.1 version?

Hello Godzyla, yes to your question. I'm only adding aircraft to this stationary mod that I can actually fly in 4.11.1, if I can't get them to work I won't put them in. Some aircraft will of course need the DiffFM if they haven't been made for 4.11.1, which was the case here with the Tonies.
To get the stationaries to work I had to create a class in eclipse, I don't know if that would be what you mean as I am new to using the java stuff, but the actual aircraft mod itself is unchanged, nothing was added to the Tonies mod in the download link above.
Hope that answers the question you asked.
I don't have HSFX 6 so I can't comment on what will work in that pack.

I have a problem with this line

The problem with HSFX is I don't have any cockpit when I'd like to use it so I have AI only Tonies for HSFX.
The problem is I think, either the class can't manage Tonies instances or the class is missing.

There are a lot of aircraft in DBW that I think we take for granted, it isn't untill you start adding things to your Modact that you realise just how much stuff is actually in things like DBW, HSFX and UP, amazing how much has been created over the years.
Also, so many aircraft in the threads that the links are no longer available for, you don't realise until you try to find them for your latest install.

Yeah, too many aircraft and so little time to fly them all.
As of January 2013 there were 1,464 Aircraft/driveable vehicles listed in my files, and I still have to
add a lot more entries up to this month of March.
So the number will rise to about 1,500 by now ...and about 1,515 in a few days time when new aircraft arrive

I want to add the Dornier 17 but I can't get a working cockpit, but it does work as AI, so the question is add them whether or not they are flyable. My main test for inclusion is that they work in my ModAct, in so much as they appear and don't crash the sim and do fly, whether all the functions work perfectly or not I don't have time to rigorously test. :P
There are aircraft in DBW I would like to add but I've tried to extract them with little success, the various parts appear to be all over the place. ??? The last time I extracted a plane from another pack it all came out in one, aircraft, classfiles and all the folders, but with DBW I don't seem to be able to do that. Maybe I'm doing something wrong eh. :-\
If I could extract some of the aircraft I could re-new some of the dead links in various threads.

That would be great, I'm happy to host the files on my Mediafire and add the links to the threads, obviously it would have to be done with the blessing of the rest of the team. We could all do to learn the procedure, would make availability of a lot of mods so much easier for the members who like to install individual items rather than use a mod pack such as DBW.
From what I read the most up to date versions were added to DBW with a considerable amount of fixes being incorporated by Birdman amongst others.
In some cases such as the P38_M entirely new threads could be started. I needed this for the P_61 as that aircraft apparently uses the weoapons from it, in the end I replaced the 4.10 P_61 with Eperviers 4.09 version because it had the weapons. :-*

Sorry if this sounds like a silly question...
But what exactly does this mod do?
From what I can tell it allows new Modded planes to be used as ground targets or secneary. Yes? No?
I assume the purpose would be to aliviate the game engine from using flyable aircraft with all the damage and flight models intact. Now they are just an object at least to the game engine.

Hello VF111Sundowner, it gives you the option to have your mod aircraft as stationary objects.
Most mod aircraft do not come with this facility, flyable only. :'(
But for us lovers of the full mission builder there is no point in just having it flyable, we need to be able to create moments in time, an airfield wherever you want, with the types of aircraft and their squadron markings that are part of that moment in time.
It is generally known as immersion in the sim community, you would not taxi out of Heathrow or JFK without passing other aircraft, vehicles or people, so why should your sim be any different. ;)
And yes, targets for your roving mud movers definately, well not much point in attacking an empty field with your well hung Thunderbolt eh. :D

Unlike SSP, the SP version does not require to have all aircraft of the list.

Hello guys, as Master Epervier points out it should run fine in all installs, I've tried it in DBW, but it will not show all the stationary aircraft in DBW because I have not added all the entries. The intention with this was to add the aircraft that I was able to download from here so I could test as I went along in my 4.11.1 ModAct install.
NOTE: I have avoided adding aircraft that already have the facility within the mod for a stationary aircraft.
You do not need to have all the aircraft mods in your install, it will show the default set of stationaries of 4.11.1 because they are already set with their entries in the stationary and technics files. To use with a aircraft mod you have downloaded you will need to add the entries I have provided in the download, but you do not need to install all the aircraft mods I have listed.
All the different types were added so that individuals could make a choice as to which they wanted to download and activate, obviously it would be a tedious process trying to match this mod for individual tastes. ;)
The self stationary Planes are a collection by SAS~Epervier which deal with specific individual aircraft or certain groups of aircraft and you just add his files for the aircraft you particularily want, a superb idea, I have most of them in my DBW. The normal stationary planes is in effect a complete collection all in one folder.
I really must learn how to make those self stationary planes because SAS~Epervier has indicated he is now only going to make aircraft of a specific type and period, but I would make any be it a jet or a WWI biplane once I could figure out how they are done. :)

SSP are "created" (?) in the same way that the SP. ;)
Only change the name of the Class-mother : "xxxStatic" (or another name) instead of "Plane". ;)

Hello Epervier, I have to admit I have never actually decompiled anything yet, I am a begginer so the only decompiled files used so far in eclipse were already done for me. :-[
I opened up one of your ssp and looked at those files in eclipse but it was pretty much incomprehensible, much like the English language which I have been trying to get my head around for the last 49 years. ;)
I came across a decompiler in the school but as of yet I need to figure out what to do with it, is there a tutorial?

As I said earlier I opened the two numbered files in one of your ssp folders I have in DBW with Notepad and Wordpad also, but it did not really help me, sorry I am not the best when it comes to dealing with this stuff. :-[

Hello Ghost129er, no this mod does not make the aircraft flyable, just stationary if you have the particular aircraft mod installed and you add the necessary text to the stationary and technics files. ;)
I am having problems with certain B-25 models which I believe could be because certain versions I have require files that are only available for the B-25D which is no longer available for download at the moment, but the stationary appears to work anyway and the sim actually loads without me being able to fly certain aircraft. ???
Sorry not sure which nose wheel aircraft you mean but all links are in the readme for the aircraft I downloaded, a few were not available so that is mentioned also in the readme.

There are a few height problems with the WWI aircraft as well as some seaplanes, sorry nothing I can do about those. :'(
The Vildebeast sea and the Osprey sea do have fixes though by Master Epervier, check their threads. ;)
Moving on to the jet section next, that should have just about everything covered apart from any aircraft still WIP, with those I will add those that actually have their own slot. ;)

Hello all, if anyone of you noticed in the last readme I mentioned I had a problem with the CantZ506 causing a CTD in my 4.11.1 with SAS Modact 4, happily I have now found the reason for it. ;)
This particular aircraft is the culprit:

I have no idea why, but it interferes with a file in my setup PaintSchemeBMPar09 class, which deals with aircraft markings. Considering the shear amount of aircraft mods I have added to my install during the preperation of this stationary planes mod it is amazing how few conflicts have actually appeared. :o
A very big thank you SAS~Storebror for pointing me in the right direction. 8)
I have now de-activated that particular mod and so far all appears ok, phew. :D

There will probably be only one more update which will include a few things I've pulled out of other installs such as the Swordfish floater, so I won't be able to provide links to them as they are no longer available here at SAS.
There are a few I would like to add such as that WWI monster the Zeppelin Staaken R-VI , but as of yet they do not have there own slots. :'(
I've actually added the TU-4 Bull, which I always thought was in but alas only as a flyable not stationary. :o
I have also had a look in the franken hanger, unfortunately the only one that will show as stationary is the Tu-95 and that stands a little off the ground ???

Have not a clue why these will not show, maybe the nature of the beasts is responsible, they probably cannot decide what they should be. ;)
I have tried the mods at different levels in the higherachy but only the Tu-95 will show.
I will need one of the resident Java Gurus to shed light on that one, however they have a huge workload at the moment so I will not be bothering them with it.

I followed all the usual ways of entering the aircraft in eclipse and then in the stationary and technics files, but no show on the map.
This is the case for all the franken bombers except the TU_95, confused you bet I am.
I tried your Jetbomber for 409 and the self stationary in my mod act and that works flawlessly as always. 8) Which reminds me I still have not been able to get the SSP to work in in eclipse following your tutorial. :-[ I must give that a go again.
All the franken bombers work in my SAS ModAct 4, apart from a no show of the TU_95 cockpit, although that shows in DBW. ???

It is a paradox! The paradox stationary.
The code of the aircraft must be correct in all nommages for stationary work properly.
I issue a hypothesis:
This aircraft has its own slot?
From all the evidence code is not cleaned! There are too many references to the plane that served as the basis for the new aircraft!
That's my opinion ...
Note: do not take it for a critical but your game seems to need a good cleaning! ;) :D

Hello Epervier, thank you very much for the reply, so basically what you are implying is the stationary cannot decide exactly which aircraft it is. :o Like a woman trying to decide which pair of shoes to wear. :P
As for my game you are probably right, it does need a little TLC. ;) Amazing it loads at all considering the amount of aircraft mods I added to it from 409, 410 and 411 to build my stationary planes mod, the DiffFM is a truly wonderfull thing 8)
My Modact game is essentially a testing ground to see what will or will not work. :D
I have actually posted the above log in the aircraft thread which it belongs to in the franken hanger, maybe Bison_M will be able to fix whatever is stopping this beast from loading as a stationary, if not I will remove all the jet bombers except the TU_95 from my mod and upload it with what will work. ;)

Hello Max, the export was a C-47 mod that could actually drop bombs. 8) It was intended for Central American theatres, or could actually be used to represent the Egyptian C-47s that bombed I think Tel Aviv during the Israeli war of independence. It was originally available here a while ago, a thread was started by Mark (Bombsaway) if memory serves me, where the thread went I no not. It was a 409 mod, I found it while rumaging around in my UP 2 looking for new subjects for the stationary mod. ;)

Most of the available aircraft here at SAS have now been added, if any aircraft are not in the mod I don't have them or the links here are inactive. Certain aircraft I would have liked to add but do not have readily accessible download links available to the community.
I did add the the various jetbombers but I found they would not show as a stationary, for the soviet types this will be looked at by Bison_M, so for now they have been removed, sorry.
I have added aircraft that contain a Self Stationary Plane, nothing sinister here it just keeps everything in the one package, although I have ommitted the following aircraft because they have the ability to use a stationary but the entries would appear within the usual stationary and technics list:

Hello Max, glad you are happy with it. 8) The usefullness of it I suppose really comes if you want all the aircraft there are in your sim, this keeps them all in one place within one folder. However, if you just want a few aircraft then Master Epervier's SSP would most likely be the prefered option. ;)
I will still add aircraft as they become available but I want to set up a thread for this just as is, ie without adding all the download links that are currently in there, it will just contain the complete list for each section which you will then add the new aircraft to. It has been a real pain updating all the entries before uploading each version and making sure I had entered all the mod download links, maybe overkill there, but the idea was to be able to point everyone to the actual aircraft or pack and provide all the entries to get the stationary in with the mod.

Hello Kirby, keeping me busy is probably an understatement. :) Yes it has been rather involved, the biggest problem was downloading all the aircraft and trying them out in my 4.11.1 with SAS ModAct 4. Primarily the project started just to see which would actually work in the mod act game, surprisingly with the DiffFM most of them did, although the tests were not extensive, mainly making sure they would actually load, fly and shoot. ;) Due to the mix of 409, 410 and 411 aircraft there were some problems which I tried to highlight in the thread and readme, it would take a more detailed evaluation by those who specialise in certain types to find problems that are not readily apparent to me, but that would have taken far to long to do.
I have now added the mod to my DBW and gone through the stationary planes selection window and noted any aircraft that would show in the list but not appear on a map when selected. These have now been added, some of the aircraft are no longer available to download, but now all the aircraft that are in the list appear correctly. 8)
I needed to add a few missing lines to the air.ini and tinker with some of the entries in the stationary and technics files to do this. Some aircraft would show on a map but would appear only listed as 'plane' in the fmb selection window. ??? Not sure if these were problems I had created over time or they were already there but I now have everything showing as it should.
The beauty of stationary planes mods is they seem to work irrespective of which install you put them in, or from which set of java classes you originally made them from, in this case 4.11.1. :o
The only part of DBW I did not yet have a look at is the 1916 stationaries.

This would be a very much needed addition to the DBW-1916 version. To have at least static/stationary aircraft parked on
the airbases for a more realistic WW1 scenario.
IL2+mods WW2 aircraft are alot of fun to fly but going back in time to WW1 is also one big exciting adventure!
Then theres also those fast jets for when anyone gets tired of propeller planes. There is just so much to choose from now
it is one never ending adventure for any aviation fan.

Hello guys, I added all the WWI aircraft that I was able to download from here at SAS and that have their own slot, what has not been added are the aircraft that were frankens of the U2 and TB-3 aircraft, the links were dead if I remember correctly, so I do not have those as seperate aircraft within my ModAct 4 or DBW installs although they are incorporated in DBW 1916. It is possible I may have them in my old UP 2, not sure I would have to have a look.
I guess I could use the entries within DBW as a guide and add them to my stationary planes and see if they work by putting my mod into DBW 1916. :-\
That way anyone who actually has those aircraft and wanted to add them to a mod act install could, might be worth an experiment eh. ;)

Hello again guys, I had a go with the WWI aircraft but there are problems.
All those aircraft listed I added and then dropped my stationary planes into the DBW 1916 folder but the existing stationary folder has to be left active or there is a CTD.
There is a problem with the FriedrichshafenGIII, in DBW 1916 this is still the version that uses the S55m to allow it to show. If you add the actual lines to the air for the FriedrichshafenGIII and add the newer version with its own slot you will get a CTD. I played around with this and it is possible to get the sim to load by removing the air entry and you can get a stationary to show but it just adds it to a map and then there is no way to remove or adjust it. ???
The solution is to use the existing set up as is but add the text entries for the S55m to the stationary and technics files.
I added the AEG_CIV/AEG_CIVN to 1916 just to check they and my stationary mod was actually working, thankfully no problem there other than they are raised off the ground, not something I know how to cure though.
Here are the AEGs with the entries as normal and the FriedrichshafenGIII but with the stationary entries for the S55m:

So essentially you should be able to use my existing mod alongside the existing 1916 stationary file without problems except in situations like the FriedrichshafenGIII. Just add the aircraft you want and add the necessary text entries to the stationary and technics files.
When DBW 1916 is updated I'm sure Istvan will already have the newer aircraft and their stationaries sorted, but until then using my stationary mod with the existing one should do for now until the next update. ;)

Hello Sleepingdragon, glad you like the mod and hope you have had no problems with it. 8)
As for the F-86, I do not usually fly jets as such although I have added those available to the stationary mod for those that do. I always add the SAS jetwar pack to my install which actually contains the F-86 family in their various models along with the stationaries for them, not much point in me duplicating what is not necessary. ;) The only aircraft I have added was the Tu-4 because it was not listed in the previous jetwar pack, it may have been there but I had no entries listed for it, however, with the latest version that was in. Likewise if a mod already includes a stationary I generally, but not always, leave it out.
With this mod I have only added aircraft which I can actually download from here or find in an old install, that gives me the opportunity to test my entries are correct. I do not actually have the F-86 aircraft as seperate mods in my installs and as far as I know they are not available for download anymore, however, if you can point me to a download link that I may have missed I would be happy to add them to the stationary mod for you. ;)

Guys please note if you install the Ju-87 Anton series in your Modact 4.11 or 4.12 the aircraft will work fine without bombs but will freeze the QMB if bombs are carried, unfortunately the mod itself also appears to conflict with other aircraft which will cause a freeze in QMB if they are also armed with bombs. :'(
I have now removed the aircraft from both installs and all is fine, according to Dreamk the bomb release gear is the culprit.
I appologise for not testing the mod more thouroughly before adding it to the stationary mod. :-[

Today I ran into a little problem and I am going nuts trying to solve it. Perhaps you can help me?
I really need your help on this one, if you can advice me on it.
This is for the IL2+mods game DBW 4.10 (1.71).
I´ve recently tried adding some stationary old DC-3 airliners to my game on an airfield, but I noticed I did not
have the lines written yet.
So, I checked your files you posted and I have added them to the game, unfortunately every
time I start up the game, it crashes at 70%. This is usually due to conflicts with some lines.
I have checked my files and I do have the updated version 2 already of the DC-3B-airliner...

It is flying in my game, no problems... if I do not have your lines for stationary written.
Now if I add your lines, the game crashes. :(
These are simple lines and it should work, but nothing is happening.
I have already tried different lines before. Nothing.
I even tried Eperviers stationary lines for the 4.09 game version but nothing. Its a different game version.
This is what you have on your post for stationary planes.
Is this airplane working in your game as a "Stationary" ?
Or did you change a line, or something, somewhere?

Hello Max, sorry to hear you are having problems mate but I have the stationary airliner working ok in my DBW 1.71.
Are you actually using my stationary mod in your install or are you using a seperate mod?
Usually your log will tell you what is missing and give you a clue, ie it usually gives the line of the object it has problems with.
I actually have a version of my stationary mod adapted for DBW to which I added all the aircraft in that install and that works ok.
I tried an experiment and dropped my most recent 4.11 version into DBW, once I sorted out the CTD caused by the fact I had added the Wellington, Beaufort and Wellesley to the other mod I deactivated, all was well.

I also set up one of SAS~Eperviers SSPs with the airliner and as you can see they work fine alongside one another.
I have actually left any SSP in place in my DBW just in case I pick up a campaign that uses them. ;)

Gabriel actually uses a different entry so the line changes because it is an object.
Here are both lines:

I think the technics lines are the same in both instances.
When adding aircraft to the stationary file in eclipse I have encountered crashes simply because I forgot to add a second entry for the aircraft in there.
Sorry I cannot be of any further help here Max, if you are trying to make a static object like Gabriel does for his SSPs then he would be the best to ask. If it is my mod you are using could you please post the bottom of your log.

Now I have them showing up as Self-Stationary Planes, except those AC-47A and AC-47B.
All is ok.
As long as I still have the AC-47, the Spooky and a DC-3 airliner, all is good.

I would like to continue using the classic #DBW game. Even though were are moving up to the 4.12 version, I
really do not want to abandon the old classic #DBW version. I call it "classic" ;D but its not that old!
It still has so much good stuff in it to explore and pass a great time.
I really want to use that version of the Mod you invented and experimented with.

This is just the mod itself with no entries, essentially it was built with my 4.11 stationary file to which I added everything in the DBW Air.ini so without any further entries in your DBW you should see all the stationaries listed in that install, I hope.
As far as I know it has no ill effects on my DBW, although one of our Java Gurus may dissagree with me on that. :)
I primarily used SAS~Epervier's SSPs in my DBW so have left then in place as was, the intention was to use this to add any things that were not available, although most things have been covered by SSP there were some things Gabriel did not want to add. I got way laid sorting my ModAct 4.11.1 install so have not yet got around to adding the aircraft I intended yet, but they are contained in my stationary file to use if I ever get around to sorting out my DBW. :P
I have added the TD 4.12 aircraft that Gabriel made for his 4.09 rebels although some of those are already included in DBW such as the D3A1 and D3A2, so there was no need for additional entries in the stationary and technics files. ;)

The Siebel is such a lovely aircraft Ranwers I just had to add it, I am sure Master Epervier will do a SSP for it very soon so it will be available for all whatever their install. ;)
Hopefully I will actually be able to take it for a proper flight soon, can only use AI at the moment due to a medical problem.

Quick question, does this mod work in 4.12 with 5.3 modact?
I only want a few of the stationaries such as the Skyraiders, however when I add the hex files, then update the stationary/technics inis for the three skyraider entries, in FMD, the object view is blank for the three stationary aircraft.

Hello WindWpn, sorry I have not actually tried it in 4.12.2 with Modact 5.3, I have one just for that install but I was experiencing a few issues with it so have not put it out on the boards yet. I would think it might but you would not have the new 4.12 aircraft as they are not in my mod, the others should work.
You have to use the whole mod, sorry you cannot just use certain files from it because to make it work you have to use the existing stationary file from the game as the base.
That said, once the mod is in your install just add the particular entries you require for the aircraft you add, they will show as well as the stock aircraft.
I included in the download all the entries for everything I had tried, it is only necessary to use the ones you need. ;)
If you just want to add a few aircraft try this superb collection by SAS~Epervier they will work in any install as far as I am aware:
