Late war Betty without the Ohka and with normal bomb loadout.Gunner cockpits and loadouts are taken from G4M1.
Known issues: tailgunner has no muzzle flash in some gun barrel positions,fixing this would require moving tailgunner cockpit so far back that aiming would be very difficult,and there is no nose gunner cockpit (for now).Bomb bay doors are also taken from G4M1.

Extract to mods folder.Txt file with instructions included in archive.SAS 4.1 (or above) buttons required.
Skin is from M4T,credits to unknown maker (can't remember)..

@Checkyersix, yes I know but a way to fly the Betty and see the Ohka in action, or do you want to play a Ohkapilot campaign?! Let me gues how much missions you can fly if you are not Chuck Norris.. he flew kamikazi attacks in WW2 and that 12 times!!!!

Isn't this model actually G4M2a Model 24, since G4M2e is the MXY-7 Ohka carrier already in game.
So I added to my plane_ru.properties
G4M2EBetty           G4M2a-24, 1944

Some suggestions for improvement:
- add a 1024x1024 default skin, the current 512x512 one is a bit blurry
- add a multi slot to have correct markings for all countries

Sani, It's simple enough :)

Open up your mesh in 3DS Max and you will see those lines or breaks in the smoothing groups. I had trouble with this when i first started, It's not actualy a smoothing group problem.  Convert your mesh to an editable mesh and go into vertex mode. 

You will now see all the blue dots representing the vertex's.  Drag your mouse over one of them (  DO NOT JUST CLICK IT)  and then on the right and menu at press Weld "Selected"         You will now see at that point that the join will be smooth again.

You need to do that for ever vertex where you see that line.

Don't forget to tick "ignore backfacing" otherwise you could stitch both sides together... ;). If it is not welded the one blue dot you see is actually 2 or more depending on the number of adjoining faces. If you have an issue at the corner of an opening it is better to pull the individual vertices you wish to weld away from the surface, weld them then slide them back or weld the lot and then detach the other faces afterwards. If you don't do that you get an unsightly shadow...  :( I usually select wire frame view so that I can see which vertices are selected.

If im not mistaken did they load some of these things up with bombs, send them to american carriers, and crash em into the carriers, but they stopped cuz of expenses and went with the zero? i read that in some book about carriers how some carrier was sunk by one...

Sorry, just tested out the ohka and it's pretty awesome. Is there a mod we could use to make the AI take over flying while we steer the Ohka like a X-4?

This works with 4.101/UP3.0/DBW1.7 without any problems. Since it's the only late war JN Bomber in IL-2 its addition is more important than it may seem.

Now that ten010 is working on another late Japanese heavy bomber I just wanted to improve the only one we already have. Thus, I made new CF meshes with the same shape as the old ones but with fixed smoothing.

I attached a 3D update with these fixes:
- Smoother fuselage without those annoying edges in reflections
- LOD values fixed
- PA_Jeronimo's engines and props included
Just unpack to your mod folder root and let it replace the old files. If you have renamed the BettyBomber folder, then just take the 3do folder inside and unpack it into your renamed Betty folder.

I hope you like this update. I also hope to get some help in fixing these remaining bugs:
- 1024x1024 default skin is missing. Could some skinner please post a good default skin so that we can get 1024x1024 skin resolution instead of the current 512x512?
- Other than Japanese markings don't work. Could someone update classfiles to enable (Multi1) 3D folder? I can easily make proper 3D for it, but default skin for it is also needed. Thus, I hope some skinner also posts a default skin without markings for this (Multi1) folder.

This one is really the bomber version. Look at the loadouts and you'll have bombs there. The naming of this thread and mod is just misleading since this plane is really G4M2a model 24 with current armament and engines. So, looks like you already have here exactly what you want  :)

I had a 60% crash with the BAT 4.1.1 ...a bit unexpected. Can someone else confirm that it doesn't work on BAT 4.0/4.1?

ok it works fine on mine too now, wrong installation process. it's better to use JGSE at all times and never do things in a hurry!
