Notes for version 1.0:

This still uses the autogyro flight model.
I may replace it with a proper helicopter model in future, but currently the aircraft works well.


Credits:

Based primarily on the SNARK autogyro mod by Greif11, ton414, Melissa and SAS~Skipper
RX-7 is based on the RX-7 classfiles by twister. I've modified them and added my own 3D.
Cockpit based on the sea fury cockpit, so thanks to  Flakiten, Jafa, SAS~Sani and SAS~Cirx.
Skins and whole thing really based on stock IL-2, so thanks Oleg and team.



Installation:

Copy  "Fl282" folder to "#SAS", and add the following lines to the files listed:

To air.ini:

FL-282          air.FL282 1                                g01  SUMMER

To plane.ru:

FL-282               Flettner Fl-282, 1944

Thank you for the Kolibri mikoyan99. Not a great chopper fan, but love this little beauty.

While I was looking in the cockpit heir.him I noticed references to pedals and glass etc., so may we look forward to the glass-nosed version at some stage?

Have you considered given it a Forward Observation loadout?

First ever attach choppa. Now with all the fun of autogyro flight model. Amazing!

Just one question: wouldn't it be more useful if you could fire panzerschrecks one by one instead of salvos of 3/6? I know, it may be not historic, but now firing so many rockets to destroy just one Sherman seems like an unforgivable waste of reich's resources =]

Works ok in 4.12.2m SAS 5.30, just needs a good skin with authentic markings.

paint some interesting Luftwaffe+captured aircraft skins for it.

You've exposed my laziness there i'm afraid - those are hangover parts from the seafury cockpit! If you fancy doing something useful towards this mod, then you could play around with the cockpit .hier and see if you could get some of the guages visible. They're all "wired" up in the coding, so should be a simple case of trial and error in moving them. If you are successful, i'll generate a new control panel texture for you to put them on.

There is an issue with the full glass cockpit version - it has an entirely different fuselage:

Oh, and I had 5 minutes spare this evening, so I sorted out the 3 bladed version as well (tested on test rig but never flown):

Works well in 4.13.4  sas modact. any chance on a release of 3-bladed version?
