Hello guys, I've got a quick and dirty request for you:
The A6M5b in IL2 by default has only a single 13.2mm Type 3 machine gun in the right cowling position.
It should also have a 7.7mm Type 97 machine gun in the left cowling position.
Please create a mod that will alter the default A6M5b to have the missing 7.7mm gun. There's no need to alter the external 3D model or cockpit. This is the late war Zero I fly the most as it's the last with a tail hook, and I'd really appreciate it if I could have it correctly armed.
Asymmetic cowling pictured below, 13.2mm on the right and 7.7mm on the left:

I support this request (that should have been better posted in the "Rebels" section, though).
I too fly always "52b" during last phases of Pacific war (if flying for IJNAF), being not yet overloaded like the 52c and following marks. Japanese Vickers are quite effective and also that bit of more puch would be useful against enemy fighters.
I'm sure it was part of HSFX, don't know about other modpacks. Extracting could be thinkable.

To make this change it is necessary to use a 3D expert!
We must rebuild the mesh Engine ... and maybe CF mesh!
In contrast, the Java code change is very easy to do!
I fear that this demand is like the others... Not now!

If I understood even HSFX7 there a mistake!
I see : 1x13.2mm (Engine) + 2x20mm (Wing)!
Extraction tests being done ... for 409! ;)

In the cockpit it is possible that errors!
I've given that some files!
For the plane you have problems!
I give all the files and folder "summer"!
Make sure you have selected the default skin!
Make sure you do not have another Mod who come to interfere with this one!
For example my pack "relook_Japan!"

Sorry, I found no way to have it working in my install.
All remained exactly like before (please see my previous post).
I set default skin and have no "relook_Japan!" installed. About cockpit, I have only two other folder named "A6M5b", and only one has a "body.msh" inside; I put a minus sign "-" in front of each, with no avail.
It's a pity. :(

Everything works in my UP2.01 and 412/MA53 (SAS~Gerax) !

Can't believe to my eyes! ???
Looking for possible cause of mod not working in my install, I noticed three of the five Java class files of this mod can't be detected by search function:

Those are the 5 classfiles of the mod.
Whichever is their own meaning and function, there are 2 that are found by system and 3 that the system cannot find!
I mean, they are all there (please watch upper left window) but search function can't detect 3 of them (please watch lower right window).
This make me think that in the same way IL-2 can load only that 2, as a consequence I see in game only part of the mod (for instance I have 7.7 mm working).

Je veux dire, ils sont tous là (s'il vous plaît regarder la fenêtre en haut à gauche) mais la fonction de recherche ne peuvent pas détecter trois d'entre eux (s'il vous plaît regarder la fenêtre en bas à droite).
Cette me faire croire que de la même manière l'IL-2 peut charger seulement que deux, comme une conséquence je vois dans le jeu qu'une partie de la mod (par exemple, j'ai les 7,7 mm travaillant).

Windows Search doesn't find the files since they are missing from the search index, which in turn they do because from windows point of view they don't contain any useful data.

Louie-S might have a point in his 4th post from bottom, however I'd strongly recommend to use different file search mechanisms for hashed files.
Total Commander could be a good starting point.

Actually, my problem was understanding if those classfiles, not detected by Windows search system, were anyway seen and loaded by IL-2, and not to have a tool able to detect (thanks for suggestion, though, I'll keep in mind).
It looks to me a consequence of what you mention that also "vanishing" classfiles are regularly loaded.
This brings me again at a dead point about this mod not working in my install, but at least I could remove a doubt.

It was an interference with the mod POV's CirX's Complete SAS POV Mods (https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,3280.msg32859.html#msg32859), with respect to the cockpit, and with the Default Skinpacks for 4.09m by CirX all combined (https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,3228.msg39326.html#msg39326), about the garbled skin.
I removed the first and put a minus sign infront of "A6M5b(ja)" folder of second one, and now everything works!
