Title: "Stoof" (Grumman S_2A Tracker) version 1.55 beta [4.12]
Post by: Bison_M on May 05, 2015, 02:10:03 AM
Hi All! :) Grumman S_2A Tracker ("Stoof") version 1.55 beta   may 2015

Tested only in 4122 with + SASModact 5.30.

I want to express appreciation for the creation slot, classes, weapons and support for the development 3D - Mission_Bug!
Thank you very much Pete! ;D

Once upon a time, someone suggested to me to make this plane. I got acquainted with its history and decided that such
a famous aircraft flying more than 45 years to be as an addition to carrier-based aircrafts in the IL-2 game.

I tried to make the cockpit B-25 is used here as similar, much to upgrade
it as much as possible in the cockpit Trackers and align it with the operators stations. (Shift F1).

Also used telescopic and bombing sights from the AR-234C.

At the moment, the radars does not work, so you can use the radar from minimap mod for 412 by Benitomuso - thanks a lot! :)

Tracker tested me on the aircraft carrier Intrepid CV-11 - good take off (full load weapons and fuel) with the help of a catapult.
Landing can be performed on any of the carriers present in the game.

For a successful installation, you will need 4122 + SASmodakt 5.30

Installation: unzip in your MODS folder.

Add to Air.ini:

Grumman_S_2A        air.Grumman_S_2A                            usa01 SUMMER

I apologize for the bugs in 3D and DM.

Great to see this out Alex, I really do love your creations especially the cockpits. 8)

Just a few notes:

Uses the B-25J classes as a base.

FM is that of the B-25 but with the arrester hook option activated and crew of four, everything else is unaltered.

The weapon options are still in development, the ones used are mainly from the B-25j just to check where everything hooks up. ;)

Hopefully I will be able to change the existing B-25 wing pylon for three separate ones on each wing.

The arrester hook is from the B5N as is the java, took quite a while to get it working and is not exactly as per the original Tracker but it does work.

I had a go with wing fold but failed miserably, not sure if it is possible. :-\\

Hopefully a way will be found to get the searchlight going.

Radar or anything with special weapons is beyond me. :D

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, good or bad. ;)

Happy flying.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Very nice work Bison_M.  These live and work very happily in CUP Jet-Age.  I think you just created the next update!

4.12 / 5.3
Seems to work fine. Lookin' forward to further refinements such as wing fold, etc. Thank you very much. I think this is our first twin engine prop for USN CV operations. Please keep up the good work.

I want to thank SAS~Monty27 for inclusion some of my models in the Community Universal Patch. Hopefully Tracker will be a good addition.

Regards ;)

As I wrote earlier, unfortunately, most of the DLs was lost as on mediafaer as on home PC.
This also applies to screenshots in fotobuket.
If someone adds a link, I or editors will transfer it to the first post.
