SAS-Modular Map Expansion - PART ELEVEN - CUP reaches 364 Il2 maps!
INSTALL NOTES:

Simply UnZIP/UnRAR all contents directly to your main Il2 Directory and allow overwrite when prompted.
Comprises improved/additional textures.
Object updates and new Static.INI for all CUP modules.
Seven new maps, two quite old projects, one brand new, two modern re-masterings of classics, two updated versions and one fixed, bring the SAS~Modular Map Expansion up to date (so far). Remember that CUP-Module-01 Maps are essential for ALL of CUP, whatever your favourite period. So please keep current and grab the latest set of the most comprehensive Map Expansion in all of Il2.
CUP now contains 364 Il2 Maps! Every one of them has been thoroughly tested for save bugs and texture loading. For such a massive project there have been, with the exception of a couple of late fixes, very few issues at all. Despite its complexity this is also one of the easiest, and most user friendly, packages to install. Many lessons were learned with TFM.
For the areas; Belarus 1916 and Belarus WWII, CUP has recently been corrected. There was never anything wrong with the maps. Thanks especially to rollnloop and Uzin for your help with this one.
Constructed to function properly with PAL's MissionPRO Combo (JSGME enabled and included in CUP); the CUP Maplist is divided regionally and alphabetically with detailed credits and consistent labelling. These features are added to make life easier for FMB Mission Builders and many of the very best Mission Builders and Il2 Map Makers have worked on its design.

RAF Predannack and south of the town of Falmouth.
2:
reorganization of taxi and stay waypoints on the RAF Warmwell airfield :
Now the landing aircraft are able to find their way and don't disappear anymore.
Only aircrafts such single engined or light twin engined are able to find their way !
for example : Mosquito, Beaufighter, Beaufort, Blenheim, etc...
More heavy like : B-25, A-20, Wellington, etc... don't work !

I agree that these guys have covered some very important battlefields. What also really impresses me about this map-work is the textures. These maps are of an incredible quality, which makes the whole sim feel right up to date.

Yeah kill it, nearly all the maps now have beautiful skies by TB built in! Later I will make some JSGME sets which will swap the skies around in each map, like 'shuffle' on your iPod - because Theirry has made 83 examples so far.

Multi-layered pictures are fun aren't they? I was testing the maps for 'save-bugs', flying the little Cub and doing some aerial photography with the brilliant PALS VisualMOD enabled. I hope everybody has tried that on outside views. Had a bunch of nice screenies at the end... ;D

Plus someone to put it all together and test it.
Seriously, dude, thats mind-blowing.
At this rate IL2 might become the most comprehensive sim ever.

Oh yeah, the map work goes back years. I agree that 'community' is the key. This place is very friendly and helpful. Nobody can see everything, but when an issue crops up we focus in. A good example is rollnloop pointing out the Belarus 1916 savegame bug, then Uzin posted a recent link, both with good feedback. We fixed the static.ini and where we had 1 busted map we got back 3 new ones!

i don't want to be a pain in the derriere, but... this update wants to replace VCL10.SFS in the SFS_maps folder. but the new version of VCL10.SFS is only 30mb, while the old VCL10.SFS is 85MB. is this correct, or maybe a mistake?

Thank you for all the work involved ! There is now a huge amount of maps available to forthcoming campaigns. Could I just suggest to update the static.ini file with 'The Fall/La Chute' map full static.ini (if not already done, I may be wrong...) ? I've not been able to save missions from FMB from this map until I use the one from the original map, and not sure if it will let other maps work...

Its correct Deci! Better compression. Its smaller but has a lot more stuff. Please do replace, its important to upgrade these maps properly to the latest standard. ;D
I will also upload the main set again so that the latest version will be up to date without the patch. For now the update will do the same job. This update completes the TB Skies too. Some were missing from the previous upload, now they all work.

I was going to PM you when I saw the original SAS-MME11 release to let you know that we have updated the PNG/AUS map coincidently just hours after your original posting. Now, I log on and see you have posted an update already including our latest changes to the map. You da man!!!

Spartan, yep, something is not right. The only new map that I see listed in all your screenshots is, "WWI Belarus 1916". However, it should be listed like this, "WWI Belarus 1916 **********by Uzin".
Maybe, re-download the update and try to overwrite?

Thanks Dennis! Hangar-19 has eyes everywhere across 21 time zones! It was a coincidence that you were updating the map as I was integrating it into CUP on the same day. In this case the eagle-eyed eMeL read the new posts on the thread and sent the message!

I have tried to start some quick missions on different maps (but did not try them all, of course : there are too much of them...), using WAW.
I also tried to load some maps on the FMB.
All is working fine so far.
But one map (at least from the ones I tried crashes the game (FMB and QMB) : Hankow.
Whan loading a QMB mission, it stops to load at 0 % (chargement du paysage) and crashes the game.
As a kind of test, I load a QMB on Manchuria map (with just the player's plane selected), and it works.
After, I tried to do the same on the Hankow map, and the game crashes.

the hankow map (in QMB called CUP-Hancow) works fine for me, tested it in FMB, QMB and with a DCG campaign, they all load up.
the bigshipgeneric errors are not related and can be ignored for now, the other error i haven't seen in my logs. hmm
maybe a problem with static.ini? you might have to re-download SASME11 and check if the archive is correct. hard to say whats going wrong there.

I just added map expansion eleven and its up-dating.
I returned then on the third mission of a campaign using Wag-Nordsee but got a message loading error landscape Wag_Nordsee/load_S.ini not found. It was not the case in mission1 and 2 before the adding of expansion eleven+up-dating.
I tried this map on QMB, it didn't load, I tried other maps, some loaded some not. What did I do wrong?

this is from the normal default FMB i think? with the QMB mission pro pack from JSGME optional install you can get a proper listing with different folders and menus to sort the maps. it looks like this then:

you are right, i missed that name. soo many maps. ok. i found this map in my FMB and loaded it with 1 plane.. loaded with no problem in CUP with WAW and SASMMEE11 installed.
people might be able to help you better, if you can provide a logfile, to see what error exactly happens, when you try to load this map.

Dear Grifffon,
the name of the campaign is "Prelude to war" made by Fokker95. It is an AR196 campaign made for DBW. "Prelude" is a subfolder of a folder named "IL-2 Sturmovik 1946".
I hope that will help. I noticed that there are many maps that I can no more get now.
For info I am using the adders from Tooslow but it was the case before my actual troubles which started with MME 11.

I also noticed that now when I am launching the game, the screen with the moving aircraft carrier with the music does no more appear, instead I have the screen with a Me262 during a very short time then directly the "tableau de service"

after all the encounterd troubles I installed a new game from a vanilla IL2.
I tried to open the map La Chute, no success. The log text said -tex/Water/Pacificblue.tga not found.
I did what I have done on my previous game (without MME11) by adding a folder Water including Pacificblue.tga in the SAS Mapmods. The game froze during loading. I removed the folder Water and tried to start the game: raté, the game don't even start.
I was convinced that the problem with the map La Chute had been solved with the MME11.
It is very frustrating because it is the third time that I start from the very beginning.
By the way,is it possible to save the "commandes" from one game to the other, it is very boring to install each time the same "commandes"?

@tartenmuche, I think that the best answer was here (https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,44975.msg514535/topicseen.html#msg514535) ; I did what Griffon_301 suggested, by installing La Chute 2.1 maps, upgrading static.ini from CUP with the new objects from these 2 maps (you can have the 3 installed, the one from CUP and summer/winter versions) and...problem solved for me. So 1) I installed the maps, 2) updated static.ini with the (many) new objects and 3) created PacificBlueTL files by copying and renaming original PacificBlue tga files. I didn't try again to play the Lancaster Campaign, but I guess it's ok now.

did you re-download part 11? when i first downloaded it, the archive was not correct and files were missing.
i just loaded la chute map into WAW FMB, put in a player plane, saved and started the mission. worked without error for me. and i did not install any other fix or update for this specific map before. just default CUP maps and static.ini for maps pack up to 11 and waw pack up to 8.
my guess is, that one of the downloads went wrong. i would try re-downloading part 11.

the situation is getting worse.
I installed a new game with freshly dowloaded MME11, I made the modifications in conf.ini, then I launched the game, it was ok, I tried to get a map on "éditeurs de scénarios", I got the enormous list of maps, so I left the game. I went in JSGME.ini and installed CUP missionpro combo, CUP forgotten battles SAS flyable AI and SAS cto, I also minused !SAS engine mod. I launched the game which froze at the stage "Loading the aircraft"I tried once again, same results.
I did the reverse of what I had done. I launched the game but got directly a message errror oxc000042.
There is something bizarre in the kingdom of Danemark.

My last trial was successful, youpie, but when I minuse SAS engine mod, installed Stabs for all then SAS Engine mod+patch western the loading blocked on the screen showing ME262 with the mention "loading ...!
I did the reverse and recovered my operating game. OUF
I just followed the instructions given on reply 1357 to avoid the AI to dive into the ground.
Again, bizarre.
