Dear Community,
I would like to request at skin for the H8K1 Emily. At the museum where I work, we have the last remaining Sikorsky VS-44 flying boat. I frequently pass the aircraft on the floor and have always wanted to see it fly although that was just a dream until now. The VS-44 closely resembles the H8K1 in many ways, from the shape and size of the fuse and wings to the general outline.
The flying boat was built originally for a navy competition for a four engine long-range patrol bomber. The winner of the competition was the prototype Martin Mars. When the VS-44 lost the competition, Sikorsky demilitarized and upgraded the boat to become a cargo transport eventually serving with American Export Airlines for a number of years.
Here are some pics to help with skinning:

I hope these photos help give an idea of how the aircraft was painted. One shot I could not get was how the top of the wing was painted. There seems to be a large portion with an orange paint job but I can't find a shot of the top. I hope someone would be willing to make this paint scheme.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
PvF/James

This one looks great.
The top wing coloring must have been exactly like those Boeing Pan-Am Pacific Clippers. A bright Orange-like color.
If the airplane was to ditch at sea, one could spot it from far away.
The paint-scheme looks very familiar to the other clippers.

There are already skins made of the Emily to look like the US Pacific Clippers of the 1930s,
maybe you can find them at M4T.
