The Hawker Seahawk became the company's first jet aircraft. Following the type's successful acceptance by the RN, the Seahawk proved to be a reliable and sturdy workhorse. A considerable number were also produced for the export market and operated from aircraft carriers in both Dutch and Indian service. The last operational Seahawks, flown by the Indian Navy, were retired in 1983.

NOTAMS:
The Hawker Seahawk is an early carrier jet. Launching it from the high powered Steam-Cat of a modern carrier is likely to tear off the tail. Use Steam-Cat equipped types like HMS Illustrious or USS Boxer. QMBPRO Scenarios for these ships are supplied with this package. Please don't post that the USS Oriskany ripped off your Seahawk tailplane because grizzled naval aviators may then laugh at you and call you a fool!

The HMS Illustrious and USS Boxer QMBPRO scenarios are also good for Panthers and Cougars.

F4 Phantom II V1.41 for 412

Some minor classfiles and mesh edits complete the integration of the latest version of the F4 Phantom II, with Western0221's 1.41 patch and the improved pylons from SAS~S3.

Retro-Testing
Following these upgrades all of the weapon systems have been comprehensively re-tested. For example; the Aim-9B Sidewinders, rendered inert during some previous upgrades, have been shaken down again and performed flawlessly.
Rockets, missile selection, VTOL and wing incidence mapping, tailhooks and steam-cat functionality, RWRs, AI behaviour, FMB and QMB function. Whenever you add one thing, you potentially change something else. C.U.P. is designed to help identify and solve mod conflicts and incompatibility. This is its strength and where the real benefits are felt.

Great evening...We had a bit of a short shakedown earlier but everything seems to be working well..so up it went.
Simon and I are going to start working on some Vietnam single missions shortly, now that we have lasso'd QMB into
submission. ;)
Hope you get a bang out of this one
Cheers,RDDR
-
Thanks Simon and Crew,
Awesome stuff as usual from Hangar 19 ;D
Just out of interest any chance to ad Marks Falkland Islands map to the drop down CUP map list in QMB. ;D
Of course in a future update.
We have all the necessary aircraft for that particular conflict in CUP The Jet Age ;D
Cheers

Brilliant idea Kirby! I have so many campaigns under construction and have flown over that map a great deal. The QMBPRO missions are a good start until the full mission sets are ready. We are on it. ;D
-
No Worries Simon,
Mark's map would have to be in the C.U.P list of maps like C.U.P- Falklands. :D
Just thinking it would be great to take out some Argentine aircraft with the Harrier

Is anyone having the same problem with the F4 Phantom not firing its missiles and no WSO?

Rod, just saw your message. No, mine are just fine.

A question guys: I've got only JTW, but I can't see the A-6 intruder and in coop/dog mission not available more than 32 slots? How could I solve these problems? Thank you
-
We don't yet have an A-6 intruder, which also means: nobody else in Il2 mods does either.
-
I'm sure I've seen a screenshot of A6 intruder on sas1946 webpages...
P.s.: why in dogfight only 32 players allowed?
-
CUP is for offline specialist mod campaign builders. Good historic, 'what if' and training missions written in extended 412 FMB are what its for.
'coop/dog mission' etc is something else. To develop this arena will require a team of people interested in such a thing and a whole lot of research, modding and testing. I guess we could then open up a special section depending on your results.
All sorts of original aircraft and code are under development here at SAS - This is where all the most original and interesting projects are born, so stick around...
