C.U.P.- Module 02 - Dawn of Flight Pt-08

Several more excellent WWI mods have completed 412 conversion testing and now join the DoF Flightline:

Seimens Schuckhart D.I Planeshine Issue Fixed SAS~Monty27
The high planeshine that has dogged this pretty little model for some time has finally been fixed!  I learned a lot more about the process when we fixed the planeshine on the Helldiver at Hangar-19.  Now I was able to use the same principles to fix the Seimens Schuckhart D.I.

Cockpit Fill-In for SPAD VII SAS~Monty27
The SPAD XIV Seaplane uses this fill in.  I imported it to the SPAD VII as a temporary measure.  The four dials don't actually work, yet, but they do look much better than a blank panel.

New Planelist SAS~Monty27
The old Planelist, with attached dates, was quite misleading since actual service dates vary from introduction dates, often by months sometimes by years.  This does away with dates and also expands the proper aircraft names.

Mortar and Infantry Mod (v 1.02) CY6
This excellent, but quite old mod, enhances Command and Control (also by CY6) 412 compatibility.  It will be added to all CUP Modules as they are upgraded.

Additional Stationaries:
Curtiss Felixstowe F2A
Curtiss Felixstowe F2AF
Bristol Fighter F2b
Phonix D.I Fighter
RAF RE-8

Many thanks to Mission_bug for these conversions and VPMedia for the texture upgrades.

Dear Monty, any chance to have in the future the Aviatik DI Berg from Mission_Bug?
Thanks in advance.
Bye,
Poiana.

Dear Monty, I see that Fokker D.II now appears indicated as "Halberstadt D.II"...but Halberstadt D.II was another kind of WWI plane.
The old name (Fokker D II) I think was right for the plane now listed.
Best regards.

Hi Poiana, you are right. The Halberstadt D.II in IL-2 DOF is actually a Fokker D. II.
However, Monty explains it in the PDF instructions of his DOF set of campaigns. You can download it at

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,48076.0.html (https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,48076.0.html)

Monty used Fokkers D. II to replace the Halberstadts D. II, that aren't available yet in IL-2.
He also explains that he changed the original Fokker name to Halberstadt in the plane list. I suppose that in that case, when someone will design a proper Halberstadt, missions that use the Fokkers as surrogates, will turn automatically into Halberstadts, and Fokker D. II will recover its own name (just a guessing).
Sorry if I'm wrong, I was just trying to help!

Hi SpongeBob, thanks for your explanations. I haven't still looking at the notes about DOF campaigns and missions by Monty (and I will do if I will install them).
Now it's clear.
I hope in the future will come a real Halberstadt D.II as many of us demand for...but I know every thing will take its time  ;)
Nice to meet you,
Poiana.

P.S. sorry for my english, I'm italian...

Hi Poiana,

yes, still testing the Hansa Brandenburg DI and Aviatik Berg DI in DoF.  I have every confidence they will be in Dawn of Flight Pt-09 and that will not be far away.   ;D

At the moment the reason the Aviatik (Berg) D.I eliminates all trace of the Aviatik C.I, in QMB and FMB, its gone! - is that there is a conflict between these two mods.

Its probably a shared resource somewhere but in their present state you can't have both.  We may be able to solve it, by playing around with the classfiles, but that's why we don't we have in Dawn of Flight just yet.

Update:
Current testing is good for both Aviatik aircraft and the Hansa Brandenburg DI in DoF; providing that classfile 61CCC6C004CB0F6A is eliminated.  If everything else checks out without it we are good to go!

Dear Monty, thanks for these good news!
Let's wait for developments and hoping in DOF part 9 for having both planes.
...no hurry.
 ;)
Bye,
Poiana.
