there is a download link, but really, you guys need to start learning how to use the search function, rather than asking others to link it for you each time.

The JC effects are part of CUP WAW and JTW modules.
Run JSGME.exe and activate "#WAW_JC-EFFECTS" and/or "#JTW-JC-EFFECTS" depending on the module you're playing.

At that opportunity... Griffon was asking you whether you're playing WAW module or not.
Answer is pending.

WAW module have not tried JTW. I also have the consistent startup sound that stays on until I end the mission and come back to the settings page in QMB!
Sadly activated "#WAW_JC-EFFECTS+Flames" and I still get the bullet explode problem! Now with the latest updates of CUP and WAW modules installed I get an additional "Flak_18_88mm" warning!

I hate to say but that's what everyone claims to have.
You should be able to name the module number.

in the latest patch of il-2.
That would be 4.13RC4m.
CUP is for 4.12.2m.

Report on the bullet subjedt. I found the link SirWafflezIVth asked about led to Westerns latest patch 20160205 https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,39075.msg549316.html#msg549316 (https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,39075.msg549316.html#msg549316) solved the CTD for me! Reply #148 contains a number of updates for the engine mod and you have to choose the one appropriate for your #WAW_00_JC-EFFECTS you use. I copied all the files inside the zip and pasted them into the folder I use and TADAAAA, it worked! It took some crawling around the forum to find it so I hope it can help ohers!

@SirWafflezIVth, I think I put those files into the #WAW_EngineMod too just to be shure. Make a backup for safety and test! And make shure you are using the right patch from westerns update, there are a few different to choose from!

other than basic CUP [which is anything but basic] what 'mods' have you installed ?

and have you tried running the mission in FMB instead of QMB ?

1/ what was the last #WAW file download you added/installed ? In other words check the release thread and make sure your up to date.

2/ Did the mission your trying to load work in the past ? If it did then you may have a corrupted download since that time, if thats possible, then redownload and install those files again. Make sure that at the restore points that you {-} the old WAW folder and replace as directed.

sorry, but 'pretty sure' doesn't cut it here - we need precise info, otherwise any help will be pure guessing.
i don't know what it is lately, that we have several new members asking for help, but they then proceed to simply ignore the advice and question being asked by some of the top modders, in order to try and help them.
if this trend continues, guys are going to end up in a horrible position, where none of the knowledgeable modders will offer any help anymore....
so, please, as Storebror asked several posts up, and nyali asked after that, give us your exact info of this 'latest version of WAW'
why is that so hard?
if you tell us what you have as the latest version, we can then confirm if you indeed have the latest or not, and take it from there.
up until that point, we are guessing, and any answers to your queries will also be pure guesses....

Just to further clarify this question and answer series, apart from when there was an issue with the sound for Merlin engines, my CUP install has run without falter from day 1, I update it as each install for each module comes out....

ie  MODULE 1 - MME - #14 + latest file 22/01/2016
    MODULE 2 - DOF - #12B + JSGME soundset file
    MODULE 3 - WAW - #20 + JSGME spitfire VB Trop switch
    MODULE 4 - JTW - #9B
    MODULE 5 - TGA - #6B

Why "sure" ?

Everyone installing C.U.P. can check his installed module number in looking into his "SFS_WAW" / "SFS_JTW" / other "SFS_***" folders, comparing sfs file's maximum number with modules release archives ..... like "max is WAW56.SFS ---> so WAW12_RP is the last install".
That is not sure, but confirm.

#70 is latest, so your out of date and need WAW part 20, its a fairly large file 375 mb, its also a restore point so it replaces your #WAW folder and contains a lot of fixes. there is also a small JSGME download to add to that file too

Although I have the #70 the Western patch fixed my problem with bullet hits! Please make absolutely sure you are using the right patch!
