Hi,
I have downloaded / installed CUP yesterday.
Great that Command and Control works now!!!
Only 1 Problem:
View distance is very restricted now although the visibility distance and all other Video Options are set to the highest Level.
Estimated detailed view distance: ca.5000m, everything farer away is very blurred.
What I have done wrong?
Best regards

Hi All,
I found the reason:
when I activate "#CUP_True Color HD Skins by Carsmaster" the detailed view distance is all right.
Best regards

depending on what graphics card you use, there are a few settings in your conf that will also help to improve the visuals -
HardwareShaders=0 change to 1
Forest=2 change to 3 (depends on GPU here quite a bit, iirc)
LandGeom=2 change to 3
Water=1 change to 3 or 4
tell us what GPU you use, it will help to offer better settings ;)

Many thanks for your advice!!!

Hi SAS~Malone,
next week I will get a GTX970 GPU, can you recommend Settings for that GPU?
Best regards

settings for GTX970 will be same as i suggested above, and there might be some more that will help, but first get the card, and we take it from there... ;)

I'm glad that I discovered this thread.
Just followed advice of Malone. All mentioned parameters in my conf.ini, except Water were at low settings...didn't check them for years... Changed them as advised and noticed visual improvements. More ground details appeared and whole environment looks a bit lighter - pleasure to my tired eyes.
Yet to test this online, but probably it will be easier to recognise targets from above. If so, I might consider to go back to dog fighting as in good old days...
Thanks for info!
