MY OCD IS GONNA KILL ME. every plane doesn't have a flyby sound, all my settings in the config are correct except for Flyby=1 because that line isn't in my config. Please tell me there's a fix...

Ah... yes.
My aunt had the same issue.
All flowers went purple even though the sausage was in the fridge, only thing that was missing was that blue line on her dog's pants.

been down that road too doesn't work.

So...we must assume that you are using a CUP install (any module ?) ; does your logfile show some error ? What sound mod did you install ? Did you activate something with JSGME ? Did you read the other (many) help threads about Flyby with CUP in this section ? That would be useful for you, and for anyone trying to help here :-|

ok point made. WAW module. no flyby sounds. my config was missing the flyby option in the mods area. I had soundset 2 active in JSGME and that's it and no i didn't see any errors in the logfile. i've read every other thread i could find and none have helped.

If you'll go back in this very forum and look up and read a thread titled "Flyby sounds, again" you'll find the help you are looking for......follow it to the other threads mentioned in it as well.

SoundFlags.Hardware=1
In "conf.ini" under OpenGL: "Hardwareshaders=1"!
Im Game: Hardware-Setup\ Sound-Options\ Audio:
DirectX
64
22050
Standard
Don't fly on winter maps!
If it does not work now: It is up to your (onboard) sound card! ;)

Well after 3 reinstals, config digging,and other nit picking. they work. I can hear them clear as day my solution was either that I added the DOF module or re-isntalled the SFS_WAW files only. I don't know what fixed it all i know is that its fixed...FINALLY :)
