This mod was made possible with the collaboration of several people from several sites!
It must work for Rebels 409 - Privateers 410 - Imperialist 412 - Dreamers 413!

Update v2a (for flyable version only)
- new cockpit for radar by CWatson

version 2 !
- Added bomb bay doors behind the engines (by IES Team)
- fix proprot 4 blades (by CWatson)
- version skinable (by Edlor)
- fix movement ailerons & elevators
- New plane added : PBM-3/3C/5 (by IES Team)
- change loadouts type
- multi multi fix...

Installation: This new version is very different. So I strongly advise you to remove all traces from the previous version. Even the folders names for the skins have changed, watch out!

Now we can simulate the famous flight of Flight 19.
They did a training bombing practice mission in the Bahamas then disappeared.
A Mariner went out on the search then disappeared as well.

but honestly I can not understand how texture mapping works ...
it looks like a big casino! Maybe someone has the way to simplify the various coverage areas ??

Maybe is simplier to do one of the 25 furnished to RAF 524 Sqadron
Colour scheme was white overall apart upper surfaces in extra dark sea gray (if I good recall)

ALL controls are inverted (elevators and ailerons) !
Sorry about those mistakes!
Usually I especially check these movements but I forgot!

Exucese me. I use BAT. I have problem with a bombardier place. Also i have only 2 gunners (tail and up gunners). I have not forward gunner. What is the classes for 4.12/4.13?

Your LOG that you have posted does not contain any errors!
The Classes for 412/413 to be copied in main folder of Mod are in a folder whose name is unambiguous!

Yes, I have BAT. It is not a problem with Mariner, because I noticed the same problem with Catalina and PZL37B.  I will ask in BAT Help.

I just updated from the previous PBM-3 and are having a few problems with the new version.  Plane loads and flies fine, but--
1) can only get the default weapons loadout in QMB for any of the three models.  Have tried various arrangements of the Air.ini, the Plane_Properties and the Weapons_properties including the one stated in the readme.txt. 
2) I do not have a forward turret, only a small sight in the middle, which will turn into the standard bombsight shortly if level stab is on and I press the gunsight key. 
I am running windows 10, Nvidia Quatro card, IL-2 4.12.2M, SAS Modact 5.30, VP Modpack for 4.12.2M up patched to patch #9.

Since your loadout stops after default it tells me you are missing weapons for the second loadout which are the 250lbAS Mk4 bombs.

I just went through your exact problem trying to install the v2 Mariner into BAT. Just install the complete 01__Weapons_USA_GB folder into #JTW3 or #WAW3, don't add anything to the aircraft folder or take out any files. Works great now.

CW,  It appears that my download of the Weapons folder was missing a lot of files, so I redownloaded the Weapons File and dropped in to the SAS directory, confirmed that the Air.ini, Plane.properties and weapons.properties all were correct and now all of the weapons are listed for each plane.  Thank you for your help.  You Rock.

If you download v2a, this is not full plane. Just a cockpit addon, a crew position patch. (RADAR operator ).

By the way I patched this and this ONE SUPERB addon.
I see ships targets in the far distance. Hurray!

I have the latest version in BAT. Does anyone have an issue with the AI planes barely geting in the air, 200+ feet, and not going any higher then landing in the water like they just gave up?

I just checked in the upcoming BAT beta version, I see no issue there. Takes off and climbs to waypoints.
However I noticed that the Mariner needs quite some straight way to clear out and finish the "take off pattern". Maybe the mission you are playing has a problematic setting of waypoints? try giving it some space after takeoff to consolidate before routing to to the next waypoint?

This applies to all planes in the game!
The minimum distance between the take-off point and the first WP is estimated at 3km for a fighter plane.
Do not hesitate to double or even triple the distance for four-engines. Account must be taken of on-board fuel and, above all, of the selected loads.

See my version below:
I have dloaded many planes into VP modpak and all worked fine. Updated the air.ini according to instructions. But this plane the mariner does not appear in QMB. I over wrote the class files according to readme, no luck. It does not CTD. 

Any ideas out there? The log file  just discusses files being loaded successfully pertaining to the PBM. Apparently no errors.

I assume you're only talking about the first line of aircraft in the QMB?
But does it appear in the other lines 2...3...3...4...and enemy aircraft?
If yes, it is because you have installed the AI version only!  :D

I installed all 3. The flyables, the AI, and the selfies. All of these appear in the FMB, strangely. Could it be the FM file? Like I say, I have tried installing just the basic version, then just the 410-412 mod, then the 16;9/4:3 MOD AND VERSA VICA. Then all 3 plus the update.7z. No combo makes the plane appear in QMB. I have checked the QMB plane list with air.ini and it simply skips the Mariner, which I copied next to the PBY's.  When you say other lines 2...3...4..etc., are you talking about the first screen, or the detail screen? Same problem in both.

I suppose you want the flyable version:
- download the archives PBM_Mariner_v2 and PBM_Mariner_update_v2a
- PBM_Mariner_v2 : install the 3 archive folders in your MODS folder
- in folder 06__PBM_Mariner_v2 take the contents of the archive "_Mariner 412-413 patch" and paste it into the folder "06__PBM_Mariner_v2" by accepting the overwriting of existing files.

- take the contents of the archive "PBM_Mariner_update_v2a" and paste it into your MODS folder by accepting the overwriting of existing files.

It's simple!

The link to download behaves differently that it has before for other downloads. It used to go to the page with the rectangular green button, where you would click it, then it would go to the save as applet. Now it goes directly to that. What is the size of the 3 downloads supposed to be? I want to check that first to make sure I'm getting a good downld.

I never noticed that before.
No worries. It might have to do with the damaged layers.
 I will take a look at this aircraft´s folder files one of these days and see what I can do.
But don´t hold your breath just yet. I still have a few other airplanes I am working on at the moment.

Historically, Mariners were not the spritliest performers...with full tanks they were rather heavy and known to need long take-off runs. In fact their rather bad flight characteristics with full tanks are thought to have at least contributed to the disappearance of the Mariner engaged in searching for Flight 19...

the curse of all planes is weight, each upgrade added more weight to the plane im not surprised the later ones are a bit hamstrung it was never meant to have a radar and all the stuff to support it in the first place

The thing you posted is useless because there is no error!
On the other hand having lost my crystal ball, I can't do anything for you!
So learn to post correctly by giving more information:
- 1 - indicate the version of your game!
- 2 - give the whole LOG!

And to refresh your memory...
- Indicate the version of your game!

- When you want to post only the relevant parts from the log

- If you want to post all lines of the logfile we suggest to use https://pastebin.com/
to paste your log and then paste the link here which you got from them.

I suppose you mean the 413/ModAct?
There is nothing wrong with the LOG!
However this LOG is incomplete! It stops during the loading of the FMs!
This may mean that there is no "Instant Log" Mod installed.
But I don't know the 413 so I am unable to tell you how to install the "Instant Log" Mod!
I hope a "Dreamer_413" can help you!

Many thanks for your help, and suggestions, I will check also for incompatibility with other mods, maybe later someone could have other clues
