This pack is a total bugfix and upgrade in merging those Mi-8 and Mi-24 mods.

Original 3D / 2D / Java / FM author credits are in those original topics or original readme.txt in each folders.
All of additional works are by western0221.
- New variants are added: Mi-8MT, Mi-24P
- Flightmodels are based on Pablo's version 02/Nov./2015 + bugfix and rework
+ Rotors stop after engines stop. Speed limiter.
+ Mi-8s are made natural and stable flight characters.
+ "AI" variants are no more needed. (rests AI troubles are in Engine mod side)
- Collisions and damage models are added. (survivability's correction is a future discussion.)
- LOD and shadow models are added for low fps damage.
- Tires and some small parts are rebuilt with historical specs.
- Other 3d bugs are almost fixed.
- Use Generation 2016 weapons with new gunpods, add historical loadouts with historical pylons / launchers.
+ Use cod/ style loadouts to save memory.
+ Incorrect weapons are deleted.
- Correct Mi-24 3d scale. (Its old 3d model was about 15 percents bigger than historical.)
- Never used files are cleaned-up. In examaple Mi-8 Terminator 3do folder had 50 percent numbers of no-used files, they are now deleted.
+ Not to overwrite this pack on old mod folders, to keep effective the cleaning-up.
- More reworks on Mi-8 cockpit.
- Russian type Chock 3d models are shown with Chocks mod enabled in conf.ini .
- Mi-24P's GSh-30-2k cannon has variable fire rate. Alt_9 key toggles 2600rpm -- 2000rpm -- 300rpm.
Note:
Mi-8MT / Terminator and Mi-24P 's skins are a bit different from original (or old) Mi-8T or Mi-24V.
Sturm-V missiles are assigned to Rocket trigger and selectable with unguided rockets by Select Rocket key.
Sturm-V missiles are guided by Nose gunner sight as SACLOS.
Disclaimer:
Current Mi-8MT / Terminator's Body 3d model is not historical.
Their historical engine cover shape is different from Mi-8T, but own 3d model is not made yet.

I had a CTD and traced it back to the original static files, once I found them in the old folders all was okay:
76D17FF0A0D3940C, DF00F8C0383A4676 and EFFA9BD439EF1AB4.
I had removed the old folders before adding yours, maybe I should have left them in, anyway it seems fine as far as CTD goes. ;)
I disabled the previous entries for the AI, was that correct?

The gunpods and all work really well. However it's built on a very old and outdated release of the mods. The newer ones are in WIP section and they include their own external flight model (which still needs a lot of work).

That's shocking me ....
I don't know Mi-24P subtype was already made.
I never used any of WIP section materials in this pack.
So, Some of my and wasted works might be doubled , I failed. ]violent1[
To merge both into one in carefully comparing 3d / 2d / java ..... will need more long time, not weeks but months, sigh !!

- I needed to to retain the 3 statics files to secure from 70% and preserve their presence in missions.
( ...as per Mission Bug ).
- I needed to remove all else of older mod since the loadouts are very very persistent.
(60F1C59EFE1E6344 probably; even when load preceded !).
- I needed to remove last.quick. ( loading null; due this persistence in QMB ).
- I needed to update engine mod to recent for A2CB1446DA3A203E, = SACLOS.
- I needed to implement 97 x loadouts of Mil-24V with ! 00__WeaponsPack_Gen2016_iii_20191109release
- I had to correct a Mig9 "fluo green antenna view" from cockpit, seen at right towards the back. Done.
- have to implement skins 1024; done.
- ... further pack models later tested without issues.
( I like the fuel tanks with this machine! ). ;D

- crash at 70% no static files present: recuperate 76D17FF0A0D3940C, DF00F8C0383A4676 and EFFA9BD439EF1AB4 from old mod.
- the new weapons loadout not found ( need to update weapons ) and meanwhile...
...the old ones are still asked for... ( over resilience and need to remove the older loadout defining file... ).
- a very early crash where game don't load; there is a missing SACLOS initiate file. Solved.
- an ollder Default loadout setting persist in QMB in spite of the original file(s) having been removed. Delete 'Last quick'.
... in this case the loadouts are nil and bogus, in spite of a totally perfect install ( I settup the new mod immediately after using the old one ).

No. Last time I checked it wasn't campatible for a number of reasons.

I tried the mi-24 P with 4.2.1 bat and the rotor moves as it should. the previous version, it would not rotate. The gun when fired still causes the plane to spin out of control though. Hoping we can get this one fixed in the new year

As soon as someone makes a version of this with actually INDEPENDENT new classes and slots and INDEPENDENT new diff-FM files and INDEPENDENT new 3do sets...
as in: NOT reusing existing slots names and NOT reusing existing diff-FM names, this will be a no-brainer to install in BAT.
As it is, it is a mess with stuff half overwriting existing elements, just to get some new to work and mess other things up completely. Imagine an elephant in a china store, turning around.
I've stated this circumstance a couple of times before.
In case you all are wondering: I don't see me, myself or I doing that.

Thank you for all the work you put into this pack. I finally got the Mi-24 V version to work in BAT with the CY-6 India Pakistan Afghanistan map. I made two test missions. I was able to load /take off with the 250kg bomb mod weapon. Blew myself up, too low above the target . Still some quirks but with practice you can fly this bird like a hot rod. I appreciate your time and effort again thank you.
