Sorry if I'm asking a stupid question, but what exactly is the "AI only" version needed for?
Is AI unable to handle the flyable one?

...well, some guys (like me), never fly bombers, so no cockpit needed, so less java class files and thus a lighter plane folder, and in the end, a lighter game folder size too ...  ;)

I hate flying bombers too. But, there are two major exceptions:

Avro Lancaster & Me-264!

Just fly, no bombs !

In screen shots, the Dimon version has the Harpoon's larger tail fins  but whenever I've down loaded it, it always shows up with the Ventura fins. Anyone else experience that?

This just means that the 3d model of the bomb bay is wrong - All the vertices on the hinge line between part A and B and between part C and D must be on the same horizontal straight line and not on a curve. This needs to be adjusted on the closed bomb bay doors before cutting them to create the mobile bomb bay doors.

Question: Can this model be made into a PV-1?

I know there is a PV-1 of sorts already in your lineup, but it has the civilian style cockpit windows without the overhead glass. I have not seen any USN PV-1 that did not have the glass cockpit which is here in the PV-2 now.

Adding/modifying 3D is not possible for me for another 50 or 80 years of practice...  :-[

have running in my BAT4.0 install.
But 4.12.2 Modact 5.30 heavily (modded) brings me these errors in de log:

 :(     MMM, I also have a capital problem with the PV2 Ventura ... both the version of 101tfs and the one modified by Epervier do not open in the game .. the preview window remains empty and if I try to start the game everything crashes .. with the previous version, PV1 started normally.

I believe that this mod require .DLL files designed for the high polygon mods to run.  However, BAT should already have included those DLLs?  Files in this thread could be it, but there may be later versions (do make sure to backup your files first before attempting to use these):

Same error to me in my 4.12 sas 5.30. I have de last carlmaster dll. Plane dont show in QMB.

 :(   :-X        Yes, I also have the Carsmaster DLL 4096/2017 installed but for some reason that I have not understood I cannot find the Log file in the main folder, even the Random skies Launcer tells me that it cannot find it or it is disabled, when instead it is present under the heading [Console] in the conf.ini folder .... really frustrating .. however the Ventura does not appear in the game and if I force it crashes.   ::(  ::(

 :D   Hey Ben_wh! Thanks for the advice, I reinstalled the Carsmaster mod and the Harpoon has finally appeared on the scene! Who knows what the hell was lost, he was partially deactivated ... Il2 is always full of surprises!    ;)
