:D To allow friends of SAS, who like me chose the installation of SAS 4.12, to be able to fly on the beautiful Curtiss Hawk II that 101tfs gave us, I decided to use the patch produced and published by Frankiek on the Hawk II page of 101tfs. I hope not to upset anyone, since I publish a work that is not mine! I do this only to allow for a wider use of this magnificent aircraft. I am attaching, shortly, a series of skins to complete the beautiful painting work done by Dona some time ago. Have a good flight to all!

:) Yes, I can confirm that the mod is exactly the one published by Frankiek, he deserves all the credit for allowing us to use this 101tfs aircraft on 4.12 VP Modpack. I just moved the Link to the US-single airplanes page! ;)
PS I just inserted a pilot without a transverse crest on the helmet (I hate that type of helmet adopted by Oleg ...)

A few quick fixes for the F11C HawkII cockpit, by WxTech
This small update addresses a few of the more immediate concerns I had upon first taking this bird for a spin, and which could be executed quickly and with little effort. The main beneficiary of this is the player who uses a 6dof capable head tracking device. But if you don't have such a piece of kit, you may still make use of all the altered files here; certainly so for target.msh and reticle.tga.
The fixes:
- Expanded the 6dof limits in the cockpit class. This applies to 4.12 and later.
- Repositioned the CAMERA hook position accordingly (moved a little farther forward.)
- Raised the height of the iron sight's rear post, so that now alignment is achieved when the top of the post appears to be touching the lower edge of the central ring. (Previously the top of the post would be clearly below the central ring.)
- Replaced the crude ring sight graphic with a higher resolution texture having thinner rings.
Due to the possibility of players having renamed this plane's mod folder name, I did not bother to adhere to it, instead giving this folder a unique name. Besides, you won't be plunking this folder in your mods folder. Instead, it's best to manually copy over the new files supplied here into the existing, relevant folder. You can disable the original files by adding a "-" character at the beginning of their names.
The three classfiles here are for the cockpit class, and I include my altered .java file (differing only by the addition of the 6dof limits code.) If you are installing this to a pre-4.12 game, where the 6dof limits code was not yet implemented, you will have to ignore these three classfiles.
In the Hawk_2 folder are:
- Body.msh, which has my repositioned CAMERA hook (for the 'normal' pilot viewpoint). If you don't have a 6dof head tracker, ignore this (unless you would like to set your own view hook positions.)
- target.msh, which has the raised rear post on the iron sight.
- reticle.tga, which is the larger and better texture for the front ring on the iron sight.

I presume the mask should reappear when flying at high altitude. I have not verified that, since I mostly fly at low altitude.

I have not made any change in the .him file. I did note the oxygen mask on at low altitude, but thought this was a deliberate choice, perhaps reflecting some inter-war practice?

if u search US skins you should find Vampire's set for VF-1B Tophatters and my Curtiss Hawk II skins from the beginning of the year that covered most foreign operators. As with Stan's skins, they are all compatible with the new Goshawk.

Some of these skins are covered in the foreign Goshawk pack I mentioned above. Other Leticia conflict skins can be found by searching "Leticia" there is large pack in the skin shop section and "Curtiss Floats on the Putamayo" in the US skins section.

The motor in my "corrections" does not work accurately. :-[
When setting up the motor, I looked at the tachometer in the cockpit of the Hawk-2.
The tachometer - as it turned out - does not work correctly - it underestimates the speed.
After correcting the operation of the tachometer, I will correct the operation of the motor for Hawk-2.

To cater for the 409 rebel needs you can find here an adaptation for 4.09 (working also in 4.10)
It needs DiFFM and I have modified the bomb used so that it can be easily installed in any 409 with the only addition are the classes and 3d of the 30gal Droptank
Classes,cod and FM are included in the folder classes.
Credits: 101tfs for the original 3d model, Vampire Pilot and Mike "Storebror" for their BAT and UP adaptation, Wxtech for shading some ligth and the new ring sight, Stanslao for advocacy and all the usual suspects behind IL-2

1- your errors log.lst is not shown.
2- your game version: 409, 410, 412, 413, VP, Bat, et.c is a total mystery.
3- here is the required path ( exemple: #SAS \ 06_Hawk.. ) :
#mastermodfile \ 06_Hawk... \ cod \ -601592548 <- blank happens if this is not exactly there.
Do not relocate this class. Do not remove the negative sign: - .
- blank weapons choices if -601592548 is absent at all from your game in any cod file.
- not all plane mods use the separate cod method for the weapons choice. Most do in Bat..
4- simple weapons list:

I don't have the drop tank.. The only load out I have are the 2-100 lbs bombs and the 500...

Frankiek is referring to the existence of '3d of the 30gal Droptank' in #23.
My problem seems to be that I didn't have that.
I'd appreciate it if anyone could tell me where the weapon mod is with the '30gal Droptank'.

I'm sorry to bother your users...
I didn't notice there was the 30gal Droptank files in the 4.09 version folder. Because I understood Frankiek's advice a little late.
Now it's all solved on 4.12.2m, BAT 4.2 TGA_WAW.
Mixing weapon hash code files of version 4.09 and 4.12 will allow you to select all arms loadout options of F11CHawkII in the QMB.

I down loaded this fine plane and as soon is I had it installed I went for a spin.....
Now in this picture this is the SKIN that showed up with the download.
I closed out as I had some other things to do that night..
This next time I started this plane the skin was GONE.....I checked the paint folder and it is no where to be found.....
SO if some one has this skin would you please post it.
I have checked all the skins for this bird and I CAN NOT FIND IT......

And one suggestion...Tank30gal drop tank has a clean white color, so it doesn't look good on a Chinese plane skin.
I'd really appreciate it if someone could make a dirty color skin (or a color that goes well with a Chinese plane skin) of it.
