After doing a little more research about these aircraft, I noticed that the Macchi (italian version) of
the flying boat as well as some of the British airplanes had the bottoms painted white. So I decied to re-paint the
folder skin files to have the Macchi with White bottom, and leave the HANSA (German-Austrian version) with a
regular wooden look. What do you think Skipper. Would you like to include this in a latest update for this
great airplane?
I let you decide...

Of course. I have always been a supporter of collaborative work. One is very difficult to cover the entire spectrum of research each model ..
I am ashamed to say, but I myself love these boats very much. I'm standing research to reduce the speed ...

More reduced speed?
I personally like very much the speed of the Macchi 5 and Hansa 5. Good nice speed for WW1.
If they are too slow, I never get to finish my mission in time for lunch.
But you decide what is best, you are the master designer.
BTW, I am also making new Russian skin version for this airplane. But only the skin for the wings and tail.
They had one that looked like this airplane.

If we manage to pick up the radial engine, we make the boat Grigorovich!  ::)

Inside the folder of this airplane you will notice 2 folders named...
Lodka(multi) - Which is the Macchi airplane and...
LodkaG(multi) - which is the German-Austrian version of the airplane, the "Hansa" version.
After you download the files that I changed a little...Copy those files  that is inside those folders and paste them inside the airplane folder with the same name.
What it does is change a little bit the colour of the wood fuselage, adds a different cockpit with some wooden parts,
changes the looks of the engine a little bit .
No other changes were made to the original  Mod-airplane created by Skipper.
Although I have just noticed he changed the look of the firing effect of the guns just a little bit which is cool too.
The regular skin files will go inside the Skin folder in the Game section for skins.
All they do is change the colors and look of the airplanes wings and tail wings.

Here is a very useful tip.
When you download this airplane files, keep them in your separate files away from the game and the Mods folder.
ALWAYS keep the original files as it is. Then make a copy of that folder and paste it into your MODS game folder.

Then when you install the airplane files into the “MODS” folder, you can do these changes and paste extra files into the appropriate folders with those names, like I have posted above.
This way it will only make the changes to that folder and in the game you can see what they look like. If you do not like the new look to them, you can always erase the entire airplane folder files from your MOD folder and install the previous original version of the airplane, with no problems.
If you like the new changes to the airplane , then keep them as they are.
BUT leave the ORIGINAL airplane files as they are!.
-
I will make some more skins for this airplane available to all very soon.
ONLY Skins for the wings part of the airplane with the roundels , everything else remains the same as Skipper created them.

I hope this tip helps you
Cheers

OH very much so and thank you. There is a lot to learn LOL.
Your tips are good for every one. I always do that. I save my down load and unzip
and COPY the files.
Again Sir thank you. ~S~

Very nice work.

2 questions:
Are the updates all added in the first post?
is it just me or does the hull have no collision model?

Thanks again. This has become very beautiful, and it's very fun to fly.

May I humbly suggest to Max_thehitman to look at the following profiles of Macchi Float-Fighter, when he will finish-up his wonderful skins.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Note that the upperwings do not have roundels but green and red big stripes (the same as the underwing). Roundels are only on the fuselage sides and on the bow. The inverted-color roundel (green-white-red) was the most used to avoid confusion with the French roundel.
