The SAS Upgrade of the Bf110 G-4 Nightfighter Mod

Version 2: swops the MgFF internal 2 cm armament for the Mg151/20, and it fixes the ambient gun flash bug.
Version 3: fixes for ATI white texture problems. Also reduces textures sizes and improves graphic performance of cockpit.
Version 4: fixes and ATI skin problem, and turns radar operator around 180deg

Installation:

Remove all Previous entries in air.ini, weapons_ru and plane_ru relating to the G-4 that are not the same os the new lines.
Remove all Previous mods of the G-4 from your game.

Put this one in your mods folder and add the lines:

Unfortunately I can not allow you to post it. There is nothing stopping your from distributing it by other means.

On the other hand, if someone is willing to come along, finish this aircraft, add their own content AND credit the original authors, then we will allow it to be posted.

Yeh, I've speculated over why they never released it. In the preview video they showed, the version looked pretty much finished and a fair bit more advance than the leak. Besides a code limit Viikate mentioned, I suspect it was pulled from release for another reason e.g gameplay.

So considering TD's stance, currently in the stock 4.101m game there are no other radar equipped nightfighters and also there are no RAF bombers for them to destroy, so maybe work was stopped because at least to TD, there is no need for such an aircraft in game. Purely speculation, there could have been some other reasons (issues online etc) but really it is a bummer. Maybe this leak will be the fire up their bum to finish properly and release it hey?

You are partially right, the project is not stopped, only delayed for lack of night fighters and bombers.
At least need an opponent and a couple of target .....

Lichtenstein had rather similar principle robots with a radar of allies AI MkIV, but more perfect MkVIII had other principle of indication and display of the purposes on the screen.

in the mean time I have learned how to mod, and have used the 3d and loadouts from this pack to finish the mod, or atleast make it a far more usable plane. I shall post a video. I have already released it on the freemodders site, and I have correctly stated all known credits

it removes the 30mm MK-108s from the upper nose and replaces them with a double 20mm cannon pod under the fuselage

I have just been using this aircraft testing CY6's C&C 3.01.

I seem to remember before that the AI controlled BF-110-G4 used the Schrage Musik in attacks on enemy bombers, am i correct?

Trying it today i could not for the love of me get the BF-110-G4 to use the Schrage Musik at all, any attack was made using the conventional forward armament.

I am running DBW 1.71, could someone please confirm if they get the same results or if they know of a fix for this issue please.
