My static.ini checker tells me I've got all the required objects, yet I still can't save in FMB. However, I note that I've not downloaded any "Catalunya Racing" stuff. Can you point out just the objects from there that I need?

You might also try adding the olive tree mod. It's just a single object and though it is nominally included with the Fabianfred's tree mods pack, sometimes you need to add it separately again anyway. Just add the files and the lines for the static.ini.

On Catalunya Objects, I've really no idea what objects were used anymore. Certainly not the modern skyscrapers, but several objects were incorporated into fishing harbors ...

Another thought. Can you play mixx's Khalkin-Gol map? If you cannot, you might have to look into the placing and depth of the object folders.

If you can fly that wonderful map, then don't give the above another thought.

agracier,

Once again, we are treated to another one of your superb creations. I've spent a little time touring this map. I like the textures you have used to represent the desert. I have been to desert areas and I think what you have done here is visually spot on. I love the physical features: mountains, narrow passes and a coastal ridge. I had no trouble finding Mount Shimbiris.

Also, I noticed in some of the larger cities there are places where you have stacked a building on top of another. They look great!

Thank you too for associating my name with your creation of this outstanding map.

Cheers,

Mount Shimbiris? Is that a mountain of note? I've never heard of it, but if you can recognize it, so much the better ...

The cities look, with buildings going on top and through each other was something Uufflakke hit upon, or it was the first time I noticed it in such abundance and to such good effect when he made many of the Madrid templates ... in real life you shouldn't place buildings through each other I suppose, but in Il-2 it works very well ... ha ha

And many of your own templates from Iraq are in this map as well, so credit where it's due mate ...

Here's a link to a scan of the Balkan Map that one of the members asked for.

agracier,

Actually, I had never heard of Mount Shimbiris before either until I starting touring your map. I found a mountain in the southwest corner of Sector Bravo-Zulu-5. I checked a small world atlas I have and found the name there. According to the atlas, its 2407 meters high.

Hi ag,

Already got the olive tree. I can't save in Khalkin-Gol, or your Madrid map. Is the object folder structure different to your previous maps (which all work fine)?

Edit: Sorry ag, I've just read your post in the Khalkin-Gol thread. Nice one mate. :)

Edit: Changed folder structure. Still no joy with Djibouti, Khalkin-Gol or Madrid maps.

I guess the deduction should be that there is something common to all 3 maps that is giving you problems (thankfully they aren't all maps I made ... ha ha). I used the Khalkin-Gol objects in Madrid and Djibouti, but not in any previous maps, so it should be something to do with that. Olive trees I've been using in many maps, so if the older maps work then it won't be the olive tree mod.

Have you also for instance checked that you have all the Hangar mods by lal_Rhone and the Fortification mod? Khalkin-Gol is a sparsely populated map and it certainly won't contain any desert houses or SE Houses ...

Maybe it's lame as a suggestion, but perhaps you might try re-installing Khalkin-Gol from scratch and see if that helps?

Hello again ag. Sorry to be a pain. :-[

Am I correct in thinking that the lal_Rhone hangars and fortifications are included in HSFX? I'm pretty sure they're required for Canon UK's channel maps. As for Khalkin-Gol, I've re-installed that as well as Madrid.

I can't say anything HSFX as I use UP2.0 and have never paid much attention to HSFX ... maybe someone else knows?

I would think that it is included in almost any mod pack, but maybe this depend on the version ...

Again I repeat, but I want to again commend the authors!
Very beautiful map! I'm shocked! Texture of the landscape, building cities, new buildings from Uufflake ... Everything is so harmoniously that gives Djibouti natural realism.
I do not even know if these map impress in patch 4.10.
How nice that people like Agracier have in the world.
I want to wish good luck in future projects ...
