IJNCV class RYUJO no deck island.
« on: November 15, 2010, 03:13:14 PM »

This is my first mod the IJNCV generic carrier.
Take the folder (IJNCV....) and put it in the folder [Files or MODS/3DO/ships(if you don't have make a new folder call ships)] or put the folder in a others ships mod folders if you have (WIPshipsashe for ex.).
This is a simple cosmetic MOD for get a Japanese carrier without deck island I don't change nothing in the files.
I hope no problem for this.Good play guys.

Clever idea. Looks & works great. Maybe one day someone will figure out how to do this for the USN CVEs. Thanks a lot for sharing. Now all the IJN CVs don't look alike.

Is this a new ship in a new slot? Or does this just change the current IJNGenericCV slot?

Would be really nice if this was in it's own slot ... but I would like to know for sure before installing.

Any chance of a repainted CasaBlanca class with no island as the light carrier Hosho?

How do you do!
I'm from Japan.

I want this MOD as NEW SLOT of Ship , instead of replace IJN generic carrier.
So, I 'll study how to write property files to New SLOT.
If I success making MODS property files as New SLOT, I can (re)publish this Mod's archive?

This doesn't seem to work in 4.10

I have it working ok in 4.10

Just paste the subfolder IJNCVGeneric into root\Mods\ShipPack2\3do\Ships

Only text entry to do is the menu text change in technics_ru.properties

find the IJNCVGeneric entry and change it to:

IJNCVGeneric                 IJN Ryujo CVL

Since this is just a reskin of an existing ship with the bridge removed it is probably not necessary to include all the msh files in the mod. The changes apart from the skins seem to be limited to moving the mast forward and moving the bridge structure inside the hull to make it hidden.

If this is correct then only the hier.him and the tga and tgb files need to be included. If the rest of the msh files are omitted the game will find the stock versions in the sfs files.
