Most definitely Boomer a map_c op.

With the new up and coming Snark Polar map there could be a couple  of versions using your

suggested method.

One map I made for Malone already had ice in bays and on the sides of water ways.

Would be easy to fill the waterways in with just a narrow water passage and surrounded by ice.

Definitely lowland0 for ice as it already shows up on the current WIP which in turn changed to an ice texture.

The only problem is I've been working with a 50 kilo to one pixel map_c and you as always have to blur the coastlines so you don't get that jaggedy effect of the ice. Still looks ok.

The original map_c from Microdem looked very cool as it was all jaggedy. I still had to blur it in Gimp as it was a squared off coastine.

Cheers Kirby

the iceberg object from Sani is indeed a great start....ideally, i'd need a few more of different shapes and sizes, then i'd also appreciate it if someone could point me to a relevant tuto on how to resize some of these objects (via the .sim file, i guess  ???) - as ideally, i'd need a few that are actually massive...at least ten times the size of the one Sani has already made. if there's an easy way to 'stretch' the overall size without too much work, then that's what i need... ;)

I personally can't help you with that but something similar has been done already with the Toko-ri bridge on Checkyersix Korea map. That bridge is an expanded version of the Egypt Collonade from the TOW objects pack. I can't remember who created that but I think the name of the creator is mentioned in his Readme or in one of the Korea related threads.
So maybe that same person is willing to assist you?

Everything seems to get sexualized on the internet.
But did it ever cross your mind it would be possible with something like an iceberg???  :o
