Thank you for the friendly feedback gents, TBH I wasn't sure how others would judge it. :)

Mojojojo, I will upload the skin for you. IIRC it was part of a pack I downloaded for Histo Mod, will send the skins I have as pm since I am not sure whom to credit.

I try to upload a unified link for the mod tomorrow.

Again, Kudos to agracier and Uufflakke. They're masters of their hobbies.

Regards

Tom
many thanks.

Fantastic and very artsy work you have done to this map! My enthusiastic applause!  8)
I love all the little details on it. Simply superb! So much great eye-candy on it a guy
could spend weeks flying around it and discovering new things.

If you would not mind, I will test fly some WW1 airplanes on it (and also 1930s´), because at the moment that is what I am doing, test flying WW1 airplanes and painting new skins for them
for the DBW-1916 next update. This map sort of looks like an Indiana Jones and the Lost Ark
film location. You know, where they filmed the first movie at. It will look great with classic
1920´s-1930´s airplanes flying around in it.

Congratulations once again Tom, Agracier, Uufflakke & Company !!  8)
That kind of sounds nice....
Sounds like a new Construction and Engineering Company name  ;D

Thanks a lot,  max_thehitman!

 :)

Of course you can fly whatever scenario you wish, a big part of what I tried is just for fun since you can never make it 100% without going nuts on city symmetrie and details.
Main goal was to get me a proper feel of a present day Morrocco area and colour.
Main thanks obviously to agracier and Uufflakke for their fantastic work. 99% of the details are their job. Basically almost everything town-related outside Ifni. And of course the city of Ifni core is all by the original authors.
Also agracier's tex are top notch.

PS: Looks best at 07.00 to 08.00 and 16.15-18.00-

Cheers

Actually, Hidalgo de Cisneros, who would become leader of Republican Air Forces in SCW, was serving there flying DH-9 in the late 20s. They made some straffing raids against rebel tribes and in the while, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry landed there with a Late-28 of Aeropostale, becoming friends with the Spaniards.  :)

The screenshots of the new additions look wonderful, I never thought of using jets on this map, but with the modern buildings added it looks like they belong together and fit in really well.

Right now I´m deep in Spain, way to the south, but still far from Ifni ... and I bet it is a place of searing and burning heat, a nice place to visit but a hellhole to fight a war in ...

Can´t wait to try the modern version out when I get back home ...

Thank you Malone and agracier!

Regarding objects, TBH initially I wanted to mod this in 4.09m and UP2.01 with Histomod. Which is a nogo because Histo conflicts with FMB+. So I used DBW which I also fly and all objects needed are in there by default, latest DBW version.
Other than that I have an object pack from a previous Histo version in non SFS format which works with I think all 4.09m versions. If I find a way to upload it (something around 300GB compressed IIRC) I can do that. ;)

The mod is sort of FPS consuming around Ifni, but only around Ifni, I usually set my GFX to 4x anti aliasing and 4x anisotropic filtering whenever I fly a more demanding map or sim. I hope that helps, for this mod of agracier's map, as soon as you depart the core Ifni region, FPS will rise.
TBH this map never was an FPS friendly one and my mod did not exactly help with that. But I found that I get the best FPS in DBW.

Uufflakke's Quick missions for this map offer very decent options, e.g. the blue scramble starts inland.

For your eye's comfort: :D
Do not try to fly at 12.00, your eyes will suffer, the colours used are way to saturated for IL-2's standard and I accepted that because I wanted the full contrast, even conflict of tex colours at noon and morning.

Later tonight I post an updated set of links for easier navigation.

Cheers and thanks for all the feedback, I had already started to doubt that first map project. :D
The "scrub" is WIP, that is also why I posted a 2nd version without scrub/bushes as forest.

Quicks renamed to work with this version:

Alternative textures, I prefer the default, these are for those folks who think my recolourization is too bright or too contrasted:

Looks like this..

As opposed to the default..

The scrubs in above first 4 shots are not what I decided to add in the final version, see readme, you can easily switch these. ;)

...learn how to do it?! :)
 TBH editing is still not creating a map, what agracier did here requires far more talent than I have.  :D :P

Update on post #69 here, page 6:

Made mistake in load.ini which you only will notice if you do not have the original map as well. ;)

Also made a slight change, which you can easily enable by adding 3 additional textures in the related texture folder and insert a new load.ini.-
Both, the change and the fix in this download:

https://www.mediafire.com/?kqcq4laem9p6zxt

As of the download link, I gave an option for different coloured srub forest to blend a tad better into the surrounding landscape's colour.

Looks like this, water also changed independent of scrub version to a tad more green:

So, if you open the load.ini and want to play with different scrub looks, I left a few more slots open in the "optional" aka new scrub version:

[WOOD]
//Wood0 = ag/Ifni2/whc_wood_light_14.tga
//Wood1 = forest/summer/Jungle4.tga
//Wood0  = forest/summer/Jungle1.tga
//Wood1  = forest/summer/Jungle4.tga
Wood0 = ag/Ifni2/whc_wood_light_13.tga
Wood1 = ag/Ifni2/whc_wood_light_14.tga
Wood2 = ag/Ifni2/transparent.tga
Wood3 = ag/Ifni2/transparent.tga
Wood4 = ag/Ifni2/transparent.tga

Each pair of Wood0 and Wood1 stands for a slightly different look. You can play until hammersmith with it if you like-
