On several test flights, using single missions rather than QMB, I have not encountered any difficulties.  However, I submit that the planes ru. date should be 1943.  I quote from Jane's Fighting Aircraft of WWII, "towards the end of 1943 Allied pilots reported combats with 'long-nosed' Fw 190s." Also from the same source, "The Fw 190-d was fitted with the Jumo 213A-1 liquid-cooled inverted Vee engine and with MW 50 power-boost this version had a maximum speed of 440 m.p.h. (704 km.h) at 37,000 ft. (11,900 m)."  I hope this information is of some assistance.
With respect and thanks for a fine product,

the plane ru entry is user-editable (very easily), so it is no issue to change it to what you prefer. ;)

I was able to produce two issues, it works without other conflicting mods, sure. But combinations are risky.
4.101 and latest modact from the scratch. I got a huge reticle after installing.
In combination with Josses Jabos and orig Doras from UP you will not have loadouts both in QMB and game.

4.101 and latest modact from the scratch.

I don't have any other modded Doras installed after moving to 4.101 - i.e. this is the first.  Everything seems to be working fine (wonderfully vague I know), however the flight characteristics seem 'unusual' close to the ground - I'm not sure that the flaps are working properly/  I'm sorry I can't be more specific, but I am not familiar with the FM code and how it works and relates to flight characteristics.  On trying to land with this bird I got a horrible longitudinal oscillation on the vertical axis, even though I had zero'd the throttle.  Now I know alot of people crash and burn and blame the plane, but I am actually pretty good at landing - two and three pointers regularly no problem on full real.  This bad boy bit me hard - much more than the stock Doras ever would.  Not sure if that's a good reference point.  As I said, it seems to be related to landing/flaps/ground effect.

After installing this in 4.101 it also caused 190s and 109s (that I observed) to smoke from both exhaust stacks at full throttle.

Some interesting info Vanir, but a few details are incorrect.

The first point I may be misunderstanding you, but you suggest a D-0 wreck was found to have outboard 30mms. I think you may be thinking of the famous photo of a D-11 wreck showing outboard 30mms.

The second point is about the WGr21s. They did work, and were effective. At least, they were effective enough to be worth the weight and drag. They were also around a lot earlier than the R4Ms and used in wider numbers. Entire squadrons of Zerstorers would use them at once. They could push bombers around, but it wasn't a shock wave that was the real reason. The main intent was to hit the bomber to blow it apart... The secondary intent was to scare them psychologically, and force them to take evasives and thus break up the bomber formations. The WGr21s were available early in 1943, if not before then. The R4Ms were only available for limited use at the beginning of 1945. The reason R4Ms weren't used is because they were too late. The first R4M kills were in March 1945 when Me262s fired them against B-17 formations. WGr21s did the job until something better came along.

A slight edit: I think you're right about the WGr21 was not used on 190Ds, I'm not suggesting all the rest is inaccurate, just these two tiny details.

Hi all,

I just thought I'd let you know this isnt fully 4.10.1 compatible. I know some might not use them anyway but this plane causes beacons to be unusable/non-selectable in all aircraft.  :-\  I have the latest SAS modact and buttons and yes, everything is setup to use the radio navigation system. This isn't the only mod that causes this but thought you should know.

Hope it can be fixed as this really is a brilliant addition - and is in the 'test' stage!   :)

All the best,

Michael.

Ah brill - looking forward to this one! It will be nice to have a decent full collection of 190's alongside the already brilliant 109 megapack!  8)
